Cool. You've been very helpful indeed!

You driving too?

vincent9999 said:
can consider park beside the road, as the traffic there is very light.
but NOT in the round about, else bus driver will curse your family members :bsmilie:

:bsmilie:

So you live around that area?

no, I live in Tampines,
going this place to shoot was inspired by the map ;p

Woah...attitude alone already win liao...

You going tomorrow also?

definitely.
but i'll go earlier, so see you guys there ;)

some bro want to join me for going there earlier,
my suggestion is why not we split into 2 group?
1 group meet up at 7pm @ Costa Rhu bus stop
the other group meet up at 8pm.

what do you think ?

and, if you're worry about the space to shoot,
don't worry,
that place can easily accommodate more than 100 ppl to shoot without any problem :bsmilie:

red cross = the point i shoot last saturday (figure out using furama hotel and marina promenade from my photo and map)
green line = place to shoot recommended by bro clockunder (correct me if i'm wrong)

SFF2006map01.jpg

so there's 300-400 meter space to shoot, no one will block your view!!
let's say distance between each tripod is 2 meter, it can accommodate 150-200 ppl

Yeh, if those bros who want to go earlier can join Vincent at 7pm.

May be you can start a list too.

For parking area :

Legal parking (just outside the bridge and Cosy Bay but quite a long walk to the bus stop outside Costa Rhu) :

Illegal parking (This is a side road paved with red bricks; public buses won't go through here and traffic is very light. The main road is the parallel one (lower in the map) which most traffic and public buses travel) : But then, park at your own risk.

No lah, I've been there enough times to be reasonably familiar with the place around there.

I think to get a reasonable exposure of the CBD buildings at the background, it's about
F/8, 4-8 seconds @ISO100

So if you use ISO 200 (e.g. on Nikon DSLRs), you may want to try F/11, 4-8 seconds.

Bigger aperture (smaller F numbers such as F/8 and below) = thicker fireworks trails
Smaller aperture (larger F numbers such as F/11, F/16/ F/22) = thinner fireworks trails.

Not sure what is the best shutter speed for this coming 8th Aug fireworks. If they just shoot many bursts continuously quickly, then 2-4 seconds shutter speed may be appropriate and you have to either pump up your ISO or open up your aperture more in order to maintain a good exposure on the background. But then, there is still a risk of over-exposing the fireworks.

Let's see how it goes.

almost can form a soccer team liao
