hi guys..... i have a question for those who have been there... can u all actually hear and "feel" the fireworks from marina east?
Sadly, not much. Confirm will miss the first few bursts coz light travel faster than sound.

Cool ! This looks like an interesting location, certainly different from the normal ones on esplanade bridge and esplanade areas. Can I join you guys? I'll be there at the 158 bus stop at 7.45pm.

Go by your instincts my friend.. Feel the light... :bsmilie:

how many ppl have sms u, EOS500N >?

I went with EOS500N to the spot at Marina East. Very nice view. There were six of us, but there were many more photog there already. The fireworks were not low level, so the view was very nice from there. Will post pics once I have processed them. Thanks again to EOS500N for organising the trip, no way I would have found the path by myself :)

Interested to join y'all too. What time will you guys be going?

Does anyone know the estimated time it takes to walk from Cosy Bay to the shooting point?
For drivers, where did you park if you did not park at Cosy Bay?

depends on how far in you want to walk and set up your tripod, somewhere in the center would need about 25-30 mins of walking time, i mean comfort walking time.

cheers.

So the location is UNDER the bridge? or something?

Quite confusing the map..

correct me!

Hope that this info is not too late.

For parking places, see the google earth map posted in the previous page of this thread.

The shortest distance is of course to park at the area which I indicated as "some have reportedly parked here" (under the Benjamin Sheares Bridge next to Costa Rhu, just before the entrance to the new Marina Golf course).

Another alternative is to park over at Oasis or National/Indoor Stadium car parks which are just adjacent to the bridge linking the Indoor Stadium and Tanjong Rhu.

Walking time from Cosy Bay to the bus stop indicated should be about 10 minutes. From bus stop to your shooting location depends on your exact spot along the coast after the Benjamin Sheares Bridge, ranging from 15-25 minutes.

Shooting location is along the coast after the Benjamin Sheares Bridge (see the red X below). For more details, see page 1 of this thread.
