Singapore Fireworks Festival 2004

I am looking for a tripod just to shot this fireworks and did a forum search and found this topic. It is recommended to do with tripod.. anyway my hand shakes alot -.-" and I had photos from NDP preview last weekend.. look terrible shots.. anyway i am ok with it cos i am really new to photography lol.. cant be blamed haha -.-" :embrass: *lots of excuses*

I asked the same question on this thread. and dear Garion have gotta the answer. So to pass on the message, the Timing is 8pm.

Going in groups of 5 - 8 would be nice. So where's the ideal spot to do the shooting?
1) Benjamin Sheares Bridge
2) Next to the Esplanade
3) In front of the Merlion
4) Kallang Bridge (not sure which one though)

it's best to know where the fireworks will be fired first before choosing a good location.

hi .. i would like to join in too.... had disastrous results of fireworks .. hope this time can be better

The NYIP site has got a few tips on fiireworks. Like tripod mandatory, use B shutter setting, F8, F11 or F13. Open shutter for 2 to 5 sec. Etc. Lens depending on the distance.

Now, we need to check where the fireworks are fired from in order to find a good place. Preferrable a place not too many pedestrians who might kick your tripod.

my digital camera has its limitations which i think difficult to overcome. will try with film slr this time.

i think the proposed places will be flooded with ppl.... must go early.
will check out clifford pier when hv time. i think it is a good place if it is unblock, but far from MRT.
