guys,

those of you with the canon mount 35mm, can you tell me what body you are using and how is the AF consistency at f1.4 after some usage?

Basically how is the hit rate for a stationary object and a moving object (human walking towards you)?

My nikon 35mm+D800 at f1.4 has a hit rate of around 80-90% for stationary and maybe 60% for moving object.

i m surprised that not many ppl here even talked abt the sigma 120-300 f2.8 because in my opinion, this is the only lens which managed to raise my eyelids...

that being said, I have combed through numerous review sites & their sample pics and noted that the images are just slightly above average, definitely not in the "BEST" category. ya...i know u will say that it's a cheaper lens than nikon/canon 300f2.8, its a zoom lens yada yada, but still if i just judge the image quality alone, it seems to be not there yet.

but before i cast my observations in stone, i will wait for more reviews esp by fellow clubsnap forumers.

However, i wanna salute sigma for finally removing that stupid EX coating! I will get this lens if the reviews by clubsnap forumers can prove the overseas site wrong!

OP has 2 copies on 24 Dec 2012. I got a copy at 6pm that day and left another copy probably reserved by someone. TK also have stock on that day but selling at $1100.

I got my set today too. Lucky to grab the last copy.

The lens finishing is very nice. Can feel the metal construction barrel. Felt like Carl Zeiss lenses. Even the hood secured very nicely with a firm click. And the focus ring is large and turn smoothly.
