Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG HSM Art lens

Exactly.... and anyone that complains this is even expensive ( its not ) is a fool. :D

yes...the price is very reasonable for a modern 24mm f1.4.... so reasonable that i bought one even though I don't really have a need for it :(

all bro cactibin's fault!

24mm on APSC is 36mm. Luckily I got this first... lol. However, somehow my instinct is still telling me to get the FE35 1.4 :(

hehe get the FE 35 1.4.... using 24 1.4 on crop is diff from 35 1.4 on FF :p

that said, you shld get a FF canon too to use the 24 1.4 on.... its fantastic on FF!

Wah! Ricleo bro, u r super poisoning me with FE35 1.4 and Canon FF... Mai La. Haha!

hehe i am sure the 150-600 will perform even better on a FF... crop is nice for the extra reach, but when u can get nearer by foot, the FF IQ can't be beat :p

of cuz muz poison more!

haha yes i had the 35 1.4 previously... v sharp. i wld say sharper than the current sony Zeiss 35mm F1.4.

the 24 art I think performs better than the sigma 35 art! AFs faster too

Ricleo, what adaptor u use on a7S? May I know?

prices should have fallen now. that time when i bought it was about 100usd less than the metabones original. now there are many 3rd party alternatives. commlite seems good and reasonbly priced.

yes can AF hehe... but AF works slowly but quite accurately for most original canon lenses. 3rd party lenses on the other hand like sigma and tamron AF doesnt really work.

build quality is not bad actually. fits nice n tight

35 Art is very good, as is the 50 Art.... i have no need for the 24 Art... a 24 f1.4 was made for photo journalist as a workhorse lens - weather sealing is important and Sigma are not.

I'll stick with my trusty Nikon. :)

Sigma 24/1.4 art for nikon mount is in stocks at your regular camera shops. Just got mine from tk at s$10xx

Congrats on ur new toy 😉

I don't really get the point. You can live without weather sealing with other lens but not 24mm? Don't try to rationalize too much... I paid for the nikon 35mm f1.4G. It was a year after I finally convinced myself the sigma 35mm was better and I sold my Nikon 35mm to get the sigma.... I know how you feel when another manufacturer comes out with a lens that cost half the price but performs better. You tell yourself hey there is weather sealing but at the end of the day, weather sealing dont really mean that much. At least not to me.

I am really glad sigma is doing what they are doing now. I believe nikon/canon has to cut prices on some of their primes which is good for all of us.

my regular shop wants $109x for it.... I though the canon version was $106x when it came out..
