Yes it kicks ass.... but the Nikkor 24 is still a beast in my kit.

if the 24mm is similar to 35mm, it is prpb on par with nikon 24mm but at half the price...

Oh.. Not really sure with Nikkor 24 (Canon shooter here) but I know their 50mm f/1.4 (both art and non-art) mop the floor with Canon 50mm f/1.4 and gives Canon 35mm f/1.4L a run for the money

I have previously used their 30mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.4. Both are juicy.

looks like a good performance from the Sigma art lens vs the canon and nikon equivalents except in the area of auto-focus, which is slower

Not really a complaint...just dunno why its price is same with 35 art...should be cheaper...
Anyway still cheap compared to 24L ii or 24 f1.4G.
