Is sel18200 image quality good enough to go with nex7?

Yeah, the 18-200 has good image quality. But, like all "superzoom" lenses, it's about compromise. You cannot have excellent IQ and have an 18-200mm focal length as well.

It will be "good enough" but if you want superior IQ, you will need to look at prime lenses, probably from A-mount too.

Only the SEL18200 or Tamron 18-200 is available as a superzoom for NEX. IQ is pretty decent due to in-built OSS of both lens but will definitely lose out to primes. Choose 18-200 only if convenience is more important that tip-top IQ like me. 3 kids including a new born so my Tammy is basically the only lens I use these days. Can't afford to bring out extra lens as I need room in my bag for my kid's and baby's stuff.

The original Sony screen protector is currently out of stock . Went to check out a number of places . Apparently it's the same size as nex5n . The original one is also cross compatible with 5n .

I just got a third party film protector from slr revo . 3 bucks nia . It's for the nex series , should fit .

This indeed is poisonous thread.. And if ur friend has nex7 and u mount it with ur favorite manual lens and producing nice picture n feel good, sure poison to the max!!!

My Sony NEX bag that I bought with the 5N fits the 7 perfectly. In fact, whats better is that I don't have to remove the EVF before putting it in the bag, which used to be a pain....

part of the reason why the nex 7 is different, cos it has a normal hotshoe.

$1600+ is a very good price. No point searching around. Shops are all selling at RRP.

Everyone will ask you which shop quoted yiu that price. Before or after GST?
