Yes, I am using EVF, can't do without it for MF.

So far, MF is fine, using E-PL1 is very similar to E-P2. Thoughts below ...

Pros:
- E-PL1 has a better handgrip, subsequently with the shutter button moved a bit forward for ergonomics. This is the biggest advantage, unless one has big hands or longer fingers, which I do, so have to get used to it or make a case to bulk it up a bit to the width of the E-P2. Adds stability to compensate for the 1-stop less IBIS on E-PL1 compared to E-P2

- Magnify function has its own button near the shutter, well placed unlike the OK button of the E-P2. Although only used occasionally, it is more intuitive

- REC and FN buttons near the shutter also can be reconfigured, I use the REC as AE Lock, still thinking what to assign to Fn button

- A faint outline of the metering area size can be seen for spot and center-weighted, nice touch

- better ISO handling in terms of noise and color retention, another stronger feature, good for those really dim lights

Cons:
- Shutter button is stiffer and slightly louder than E-P2, a soft button release is definitely welcome, which I use on both cameras. E-P2 seems better damped

- EVF seems to stick out more towards the rear (where LCD is) than E-P2, but one gets used to it

- Only 1/2000 maximum shutter speed

- buttons are more recessed, not as easy to feel/grope for blindly

Conclusion for me is that E-PL1 nudges out the E-P2 just a bit. The E-PL1 is not really a cheap camera, it only appears so. After adding in an EVF, just slightly less than E-P2.

Thanks for the quick review, i find the additional side grip a great plus to the ergonomics. The minuses for me just the one stop IBIS loss and the max shutter speed.

yup, only very basic PP is applied on top of the already good jpeg output. this is a very nice camera to use. my only gripe is the slower AF and no control dials (eventually will used to the D-pad). image quality is already very good with the 14-42 kit lens. if you do not need very fast AF, do not wait longer and get it. ;)

heehee...some fine-dust are visible around tires and windscreen though.
Also, both the side-mirror was "whacked-off" during a recent race...sigh!!
