Oh my god!! That just last week's new acquisitions! I bow in respect to King of vintage optics! :bsmilie:

Cheers,

p.s. Toshiba UV/IR filter! Didn't know they had it since back then! Ha Ha!!

Just have to keep an eye on evil bay. They do pop up once in a while, or make it a long while.

One just ended a few days ago;

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=270373058660

Always kena snipe! Imagine losing the bid by only $10! Actually in this case, the sniper got sniped too.

Besides ebay, www.kevincameras.com also have a good selection. Check it out.

Cheers,

Me too!!

Actually, I usually don't give a hood (pun intended) about caps and hood until recently. Hacker usually set very high standards for the lenses he retains in his collection. From him, I learn that it's easy to get the lens. It's the matching hood, caps, filters and cases that makes the difference. Ever since then, I've been very, very much poorer. :embrass:

But it sure is nice to put together a 'complete' set. :D

Cheers,

The spectacular Voigtlander Heliar 50mmf3.5 earned the highest possible praise from the American magazine Popular Photography. The extensive Pop lab Test proclaimed the little Heliar:
"Superb, all-metal, high-precision collapsible-tube lens mount." "SQF results were excellent -- on a par with the best lenses we have ever tested." "A handy, high-precision, magnificent lens to treasure. It's doubtful that any other commercially made lens will produce superior results."

Here's my little Heliar50f3.5 with Hoya E27 UV/IR filter: ;)

Oh my! This is a limited production lens that was only sold with the Limited Edition Heliar 101 Anniversary Bessa T. Only 500 set available in each color (grey, olive, blue and black). Certainly not a common sight. And how on earth did you find a 27mm UV/IR filter that can sit between the hood and the lens!?

Show some pictures taken with the lens too please!

Cheers,

Didn't have good experience about Kevin Camera, bought a Leica Summarit 50 1.5 from him which he described as "mint-, with faint cleaning marks" and this is it;

Oohh! That's bad. A lot of my ebay purchases are like that as well when sellers describe it as optically perfect. I was just contemplating weather to pick up another 2 lenses from kevin cameras. Guess I have to think twice. However, the accessories that I've purchased from him are all as described.

Cheers,

Cheers,

Word has it that Leica switched UV/IR supplier from B+W to some Japanese one (probably Hoya)...so of course one can get Hoya UV/IR filters..:bsmilie::bsmilie:
The cutest one is E19 UV/IR filter for Elmar 50f3.5 :heart::lovegrin: And of course there's Canon E34 UV/IR as well. :cool:

I cant compare this with Benny's canon collection and the rest for the RF gang in CS..
Just my little humble canon collection that I collected last year till now. :embrass:
Missing out in this pictures is my 50mm f/1.2. Just share share not showing off here. Hee.. :angel: :bsmilie:

...

thanks....:D

any idea why the difference in coating colors?

purple vs blue?
purple_vs_blue.jpg

Black ring purple coating has built in UV/IR cut function! Don't need UV/IR filter for M8:bsmilie::bsmilie:
