I cant compare this with Benny's canon collection and the rest for the RF gang in CS..
Just my little humble canon collection that I collected last year till now. :embrass:
Missing out in this pictures is my 50mm f/1.2. Just share share not showing off here. Hee.. :bsmilie:
...

Oh that's a pretty set you have there! Condition looks great too. The 50mm f/1.4 and 1.8 are two of Canon's best 50mm lens design. I believe the design is still used in today's modern optics. The screw mount bodies are classic too! Love the octagonal shape and the revolutionary zoom finder.

I can't quite say I have a collection, but I really like the Canon LTM lenses. Compared to Leitz optics from the same time period, Leica lenses then don't usually perform very well. I think the only exception might be the Elmar 9cm f/4.

By the way, is there any interest to start a Canon LTM group? We can compare notes and results from the optics.

Cheers,

Show us your other M-mount Mint- Summarit with hood please :bsmilie:.

It is precisely because of your poisonous shots with the Summarit that I went to get this lens from Kevin. Should have gotten right from the start from you. Now on Evilbay there's plenty, and some seems mint. You not getting one to replace the one you sold me? :)

Will post a pic of the Summarit when I can. Cheers.

Don't compare gear, compare photographs taken by gear. :bsmilie:

Ben will be back in 2 weeks....

I actually have one more which happens to be pristine and clear in the optics. I got it to use the M-mount to cannibalize it for a post-war Zeiss Opton rather than a Jena. I will waste the clear glass obviously :(. Or you can use the glass :).

Always kena snipe! Imagine losing the bid by only $10! Actually in this case, the sniper got sniped too.

Besides ebay, www.kevincameras.com also have a good selection. Check it out.

Cheers,

Actually, the lens was for me. I just did not think the glass was good enough and there was no cap. So Jiri put it on eBay.

thanks....:D

any idea why the difference in coating colors?

purple vs blue?
purple_vs_blue.jpg

They changed coating formula midway. I cannot remember which is which now, but seem to remember that the blue was more recent. You can check your serial numbers. The newer one may not have the S.C words engraved.

Sorry to hear that you lost only by $10. But I'm sure there will be others. Actually there's plenty if you know how to look. :D

For me, I think I just play with Canon and I'll be happy. My pockets and dry cabinets are not as deep as many of you guys. :bsmilie:

So the switch is done ?

Was thinking of this "steal dragon turn phoenix" :bsmilie:

My Canon lenses that take 40mm filters: 25mmf3.5, 50mmf1.8, 50mmf1.5 & 35mmf2.0 respectively:

Rollei Sonnar 40mmf2.8 with hoods & finder:

How many hoods do you need for one lens?

I had three! Sold one. Keeping this in case, I decide to get the chrome lens. ;)

My LH-2 serves the same function... :bsmilie:

Yours is branded Voigtlander, NOT Rollei! Same goes with the finder!
Voigtlander hood & finder branded as Rollei are rare especially the finder.:)

Jiri wanted more for the lens and I decided not to get it. So he put it on eBay. Considering the condition, I still went for the eBay bid, but it had no cap and had marks. Did not think it was worth the original quoted price, and I'm actually glad I did not win.
