maybe i am not spidey man. :embrass:
was at HN Bukit Panjang earlier, and asked for the price of the EPL1. The saleman told me it's selling at $949. When I told him that it was selling at $899 at other HNs, he shot me a surprised look:dunno:. As I walk away, he said he can sell me at that price I asked. By then, I wasn't interested anymore - more pissed off that he was trying to smoke me in the first place, and play me for a fool. Don't all HNs have standard selling price? Definitely will not go back to HN for any camera purchases.:nono:
So wat is the best offer for EPL1 now?
Harvey norman at Funan no longer offering at $899 le mah?
although HN is competitor of Challenger(by this time every should know i work for Challenger), I will not say he never did anything wrong
1st thing, customer always try to find the best price while salesman try to earn most so no1 should be blame for this
2nd thing is that for camera market is quite competitive so $899 by right shouldn't be standard pricing, SRP for e-pl1 is 998
at the end of the day, willing buyer, willing seller =D
no offence
no changes in the market "yet"
when sony nex was released, everyone including the sales line expect the price of the camera to drop price but nope, so you can look around look for the best package that suit you =D
hi all,
super newbie here again...
i was at jurong point Courts just now, n i asked for installment scheme, n they quote me $1248 for twin lens, plus 2 x 8 gb memory cards, extra battery, n free tripod. seems like the prices are more or less around 12xx.
i have a few queries... :embrass:
if u were to choose, would u guys buy twin lens or the 14-42mm kit? n why?
14-42mm is like for close distance shooting right? like for portraits n lil bit of macro shots ar.
would it be cheaper to get both or separately?
next, anyone been to the Audio house sale at expo? i heard today is the 1st day expo sale ah... any good price/lobang for EPL-1?
n i heard Gain City also have sale right?
depends, IIRC, the twin lens is the 14-42 and 40-150, 14-42 is basically similar to your pns zoom, portraits is possible, macro is possible though to get VERY CLOSE is difficult just on its own, buying things in bulk is usually cheaper (I learnt that in accounting :bsmilie![]()
okays will just get both lens. lolx
But of course,I forgot to explain about the other lens, the other one also can capture portraits and things that are far away,in layman's term, can zoom in very close from things far away
ya, i guess i was too bored... i just used the long range 1 to zoom in n take my neighbouring block just now... :embrass:
i came back from Expo Audio house sale... got the twin lens at $1218 in installment scheme. happy.
the freebies r
1 x nikon 8gb card
1 x (nameless, lousy) lens cleaning kit
1 x Sd/Mmc card reader
1 x tripod ( a huge ass 1, i think the specs say 1345mm ? length? ... ;p )
1 x battery (looks like the 1 in the package, also from olympus)
1 x dry box
1 x (brandless) DSLR camera bag (not very big, but just enough room for twin lens)
Not too bad, lens cleaning kit kinda useless, the memory card is Nikon? sounds questionable to me,hahahah, better buy a spare in case, my tripod is slightly shorter than me, and I'm 185 :bsmilie: but do take care if its not stable, the wind could blow it with the camera onto the floor
ya, correct, its nikon... but nevermind... i got 3 spare 8gbs from previous cam buys. oops.
i never try the tripod , but i dont think i would use it either. even if i keep it in its storage condition, it is still around 500mm, n besides, it weights 750g. DSLR 500g i am already making so much noise le. so heavy. n im just abit taller than the tripod :s
i guess sooner or later the tripod will crush me.![]()
Haha, don't want can donate to me  3 spare 8GB? plus your current one, more than enough for your trip I guess, unless you spam until all full, if you do that, I'll salute you! and say what I always tell my friends, "GOOD JOB!" Enjoy your trip and do share some images in the picture sharing thread
the rest of white elephants will end up in storeroom soon. lols. n as if the battery wouldnt die on me! the most i will take would be around 200-300 pictures, so 1 card should be enough.. haha... i dont know how people can take 800-1000 pictures in a 6,7 days trips, but i had seen it in facebook before la. that 1 is super spam, n annoying, cos alot pictures were somewhat repetitive or blurr. i always believe in taking only interesting quality moments, not quantity ma...
but anyways, i am still exploring... but for now... iAuto mode on all the time. hahaa. just took a few test shots, n im quite pleased with what i see.![]()
poor stuff, what do you mean by "as if the battery wouldnt die on me"? One battery is supposedly suppose to last about 300 shots depending on usage
i was replying to u about excessive lots of spam shots ma... have to finish up 4 x 8gb memory cards are indeed quite alot pictures... a few thousands pic maybe. lols:embrass:
