Checked out the EPL1 at Harvey Norman and there is interest free installment available for up to 24 months with no additional charge on the credit card, so basically $899 / 24 or 12 months.

This price $899 apply to all Harvey or selected? Sound like a good price to have 899/12 month installment.

A fellow cs-er told me that the roadshow is selling EPL-1 for $888 with many freebies? Is this more worth it than what is offered by Harvey?

I can't check it myself cause I'm currently located overseas and wanted to ask my friend to bring it over when she comes over. So, sorry in advance!

In the end I've gotten the camera from Harvey Norman for $899 with all the above freebies given plus a camera bag. It was a pretty good deal I would say.

8GB card, 2 batteries, 1 screen protector, 1 brown olympus bag <--quite interesting looking...
no tripod..even though i told him HN is giving those freebies...but too lazy to go all the way to HN

They required Warranty number. So I'm pretty puzzled which number it's looking at. Cos apparently, there's several series of numbers on the warranty card itself. Any idea guys?

i've registered online yesterday and put in the serial number on the warranty card...that should be the number...

I got a free compatible one from HN. It costs $75 @ HN

I just brought a friend to the vivo city road show. Actually, Its also from challenger. The guy brought us to the challenger at level 2 to collect her e-pl1. And the thing is $888 (kit + 8 GB + extra battery + bag) can be paid by credit card. So its quite a bit better than the hougang challenger deal.

Just got me d double lens kit for $1228 fr South Asia. A few freebies like card, tripod, screen protector n card reader. I actually was thinking of the E-p2, but changed my mind on the fly... Now taking pix of my kids at the park. My D700 will definitely be rested even longer!

Well, if it is not good enuff for that... then I'l just take out my d700 with the 14-24 or 24-70 or 70-200(all 2.8) and just shoot. Its good enuff for me to move around when I go for trips, be it with my family or at work. :sticktong

When I told him that it was selling at $899 at other HNs, he shot me a surprised look:dunno:. As I walk away, he said he can sell me at that price I asked. By then, I wasn't interested anymore - more pissed off that he was trying to smoke me in the first place, and play me for a fool. Don't all HNs have standard selling price? Definitely will not go back to HN for any camera purchases.:nono:

Don't know,maybe he was giving you slightly below RRP? I seem to recall the RRP is $998 for kit lens,anyway,depends on HN,sometimes I go to HN at other places, they give me attitude, go back to HN at Funan for best service, I got there always got good services :bsmilie:

Walk around and managed to ask for special offer (standard package) for SGD865 using credit card at funan challenger. Less the batteries that i wanted. Oh well! just ordered a couple of batteries online...... hopefully in time for my travel next month.
