Very nice shots bro. You have been missing for quite some time here... New cam 40D.:heart: How is it compared to your 20D at ISO800?

Is the first shot taken close to MFD? Believe it is uncropped as you stop down till F16 with butt's wings slightly opened.

Yes , the first shot was almost there at MFD and it is almost full frame , just a slight crop to rotate the stand of the butterfly.

I am most satisfied with the 40D's ISO performance , I will not hesitate to take it up to ISO 1600.

Here are two shots taken deep in the shade at ISO 1600 (top)and IS0 1250(lower) which I would not dare to if on the 20D, both were slightly PP using standard denoising filters of CS3.

Noise seems to be better. But bro. The details seems to be gone as well as the sharpness. Shadows areas in the second photos are quite bad. Nevertheless it seems to be slightly better than 20D.
