Spotted this old man along the way to Lavender, he was packing up after having a coffee at the opposite coffee shop, then walked over to this side of the road to have a smoke.
I asked if I could take his picture, he happily agreed, citing that if he wasn't doing anything wrong, why should he be afraid of someone taking his picture.
He's still working as a karang guni man, even though he looked like he was suffering from kidney problems as he had a pipe connected to his stomach area. In spite of his health problems, he talked with a pep you rarely see in old folks these days.
Will probably drop by again if I'm free.
Polaroid 110B 127mm f/4.7 Rodenstock Ysarex 4x5 Converted
TMAX 400 souped in Rodinal 1:100 45mins
1/125s f/8
On a side note, lualua, your film is working fine for me, thanks!
I don have LF pictures but recently i chanced upon this blog who shoots 4x5 on streets portraits..quite impressive..
Seems like using the same setup as joey..aero ektar
the bokeh at f2.5 blow me away, both in joey shot above and the one in the blog! Thinking..can i get it on my Bronica?

Next time try not to crop his foot at the ankle!

Unfortunately I don't look at the Mamiya AFD2 a good start in MF as it is only 645.
There are a lot of much cheaper choices in the market now, which can cloud things a bit.
The best is to think of what pictures you want to get, and what lens to do it. A camera is only a film box to me, it is the lens that counts.
Mamiya lenses are great, but still AFD2 lacks the mobility, flexibility and 'quietness' compared to a Nikon.
The pictures from Nikon are not too far off actually.
If you want to go down the MF route, think far. Start on a 6X6 minimum or the 6X7 or 6X9.
Price and money is always something to be prudent with.
The lesson learned by many is: spending a lot of money may not get what you want, possibly more night mares to fix more problem.
ohh thx for advice but am not sure that time. I bought the whole set second hand from here total 4k. With afd2 80mm 2 film back and a phase one p21+ worth? well i started so hv to use it cant spend again. anyway i really see the different from apsc to 645 ;-)
Nikkornos said:APSC is crap even compared to 135. Why not compare to 4X5 (note in inches) ?
..... 4k ..... YOU PAID SCHOOL FEES!! :bsmilie:

I don't shoot bigger formats to win prizes, to me its much more than that.
