Wah... this fisherman came rowing to us on his round Thuyen Thung after he set up his net and raised it...

Maybe he thought we got money for him, or some incentives. But yes, we do have, But how much?

"Dar, some more water taxi yah!" exclaimed the SereneXMM... and the brave Rangefinder warrior fired away without hesitation.
My goodness... did I see wrongly here..? Was this courageous young lady half-soaked in river water?

The whole shore was literally littered with Thuyen Thungs and sampans...
It reminded me of a scene in 'Saving Private Ryan' by Tom Hanks... Only here it is totally peaceful.

Central Vietnam fishing net...

So, hey guys... we are out here in Central Vietnam to see the unique fishing nets, aren't we?
Come on, please show some nets!
Adrian (to the fisherman, through translator): "Don't wear your helmet. Please put on the conical hat, can?"
Adrian (to our boatman): "Let's move the boat nearer to the net..."
Adrian (shouting to Melvin in the next boat): "Melvin, get your boatman to move nearer the net!"

So, this fisherman gotten himself readied... after acquiring some extra pocket money (in his hand)...

The Local Market...

Sunrise, fisherman, net... all done.
We found ourselves once again on the bank of Hoi An.
Group 2 was still... erm... sound asleep as it was only about just before 7am.

Adrian: "Let's go right and take a stroll in the local market, shall we?"
Of course. Boss says go, we go.

Conical hat galore...

The Local breakfast...

... before starting a day of hard work...

Then we came to the bank again, and saw a boat full of goods and vegetables and farmers...
Man, these conical hats are for real! Genuine stuffs, they are.

By now, Group 2 should be stirring in bed.
And all of us in Group 1 were having a field day (morning) in the market.

The odd one out.

These hard-working people getting ready for the day's work.

... and these people taking a five (or maybe more?) to have a stick...

... while those who have worked their whole lives, just stood and reminisce.

This morning market by the river side is full of interesting subjects.
Every turn of the corner brings us to a new angle, a new sight.
Something that we don't get to see back home in Singapore.
And so flavourful is the view of hard-working Vietnamese women in their conical hats.
Lovely.
