SGTrekker 8D7N Wonders of Egypt Photography Tour (28 Aug-04 Sep 2011)

SGTrekker and I completed the circuit early and decided to enter the Red Pyramid. No cameras were allowed. A snapshot but I am the only one to have this picture! Presenting the burial chamber in the pyramid, taken by my phone.

A Egyptian Ramadan Experience in Cairo

Our good Chris's colleague in Cairo was very kind in introducing us to dine in one of the very nice restaurants in Cairo.
It was called Sequoia.
We had our first (or second?) Egyptian fare, and this time it came with Sheesha.
The lovely blue evening sky, dining al fresco style, the symbolic tent and over looking the River Nile... my, was it an experience!

A bus was arranged to take us to this restaurant.

And we were seated here under the stars.

And then many of us started ordering Sheesha. And this scene here was very funny because the waiter dropped the charcoal for the sheesha and it landed on ageless's chair... I think almost burnt him. Here he was jumping quickly up from his chair to siam the burning charcoal! Kekeke...

The Egyptian food was aplenty and a totally brand new and exciting experience for us.
The waiters were h*ll-of-a exotic looking.
The eesh (bread.. or in SgTrekker's terminology, ham-cheem-bang), the Karkade (Hibiscus drink), the beans, the meat.. all oooh so lovely.
But what gotten us ecstatic was the sheesha.
Here is the XMM giving it a go... Apple flavour.

The Beautiful People at Sequoia

What exotically beautiful people they have there in Cairo on that night!
Sitting beside us was these two lovely ladies. I couldn't help but take a shot of them laughing easily away.

And this good-looking waiter giving me a smile before he dropped the charcoal and almost burnt Ageless... LOL..
My own handsome-ness must have distracted him... Hahaha...

This was a shot that was taken by our good Vngks (I think) on my camera.
It was such a lovely shot that I just wanted to share with everyone.
Here vngks was showing how the waiter prepares the sheesha for consumption... LOL..!

Struggling with the sheesha

Honestly I struggled with my first few puffs of the sheesha.
Not having prior experience with puffing this potent stuff, I coughed until crazy.
But not long after I finished my coughing bouts, my dining partner started having his share of the sheesha-induced expectoration...

:ipuke:Me... I was still coughing and puffing away as while later down the road.
But it was really heck of an experience. After a while, the nicotine high got into our brains and we all 'stoned' out!
Haha...

Don't believe you. LOL....

I knew I should have taken pictures of the bed and toilet as well!! :complain:

This shows some thought went into the placement of the lights. Unlike me who just went for the obvious straight up shot.

Thanks, acpical. Actually, I got enough of shooting wide (no more lingam) and changed to zoom lens and this couple just happened to walk-by. ;)

This is very nice until I don't know what to say.
How come I lie side by side with you I couldn't get this shot.
I got not enough kungfu! Hahaha!

Wah... so stylo! But only action. No result! LOL...
Thanks for a great shot, AlexK!

Aiyah ! You humble lah. What kung fu :bsmilie:

Agree with Acpical!

You really explored the angles, AlexK!

nice series from ur m9p limwhow!!
Thank you thank you, Canto!

May I know what sort of function?
Hehe... sorry OT a bit. You saw these watch before what, divinemoment during all our trips, remember? LOL.. ::D:
OK it does these: Compass, Altimeter, Barometer, Thermometer.
For extra-services: ND-filter, Lightmeter, ViewFinder... one will have to look for the Suunto M4 brand, not the Casio Protrek - this one must ask Dinosour. He is the gadget expert and he advised us on watches as well. Really good!
