For some reason I like this very much hahaha :bsmilie:

Lovely capture of this smiley man.
I certainly think the baksheesh is worth it, seeing the enthusiasm with which he goes about doing his job as a model.
But next time let's bargain with him down to the more usual 5 Egyptian pounds instead. Hahahaha...!

Now, this is worth the extra baksheesh you paid, vngks!
It's nice!

Thanks :)

Some of you have already seen this next shot in my Facebook.

Agreed this equally nice. During my trip (at least 12 yrs ago), they drove Mercedes Benz instead of camel. Seems times are bad now.

Of so many pyramids there, the very well known one was the Step Pyramid built by King Zoser (Djoser).
There are altogether 6 steps on this pyramid.
Why 6 steps? Because there was this old Egyptian saying: 7 steps to heaven.
So they built 6 steps on this pyramid, with the believe that when the King comes back to life, he would take the 6 steps up the side of his pyramid and right on the top, his seventh and last step would be to Heaven.

Enjoying the photos and travelogue. Looks like a fun trip. Please keep posting. :-)

The Egyptian saying is quite interesting.

Thanks bro :) The cars we saw on the roads of Cairo are mostly beat-up old junks. Don't think I ever saw a Merc hahaha.

Perhaps I make it clearer. They used Merc to ferry tourist within the pyramid compound instead of camel.

Yupe. The economy is very jiak-lat now.
All the cars are like this mostly... Er.. Datsun 100A, if my memory didn't fail me...

Ageless added: "Yah, people can't tell where we are."
Me: "Just tell them we were at Universal Studio lah! Wah lau eh...."

So here we are.
A picture of our Mevlin... at Universal Studio, with his beloved Seagull in hand.

The day has been long.
The sun has been working over-time.
And the heat has been unrelenting.
Even the camels have kicked up a whole sand-load of fuss for having to bear the weight of every every-so-inquisitive traveller.

The time has come for us to make our way back.

"Hey, don't leave me behind in this desolate place..." cried the Blue Pharaoh.

It was coming to 3pm.
Due to the Ramadan period, this UNESCO site was closing 2 hours earlier then usual.
Haiyah... no choice. We got to go.

"OK guys. We will go back and get ready our luggage because we will be taking the overnight train to Aswan."
"Please make sure you are packed such that your gears are with you because tomorrow morning once we hit Aswan, we will hit the ground running!"

Well, that's SgTrekker's trip for you! LOL...
