Thanks limwhow.
I think a couple of us were there shooting at this angle. It was just on the right side of the exit door. But it is suppose to be out-of-bounds area but accessible by just tipping the guard.

Is that where you shot over the city to the pyramids?

This shows some thought went into the placement of the lights. Unlike me who just went for the obvious straight up shot.

Agree with Acpical!
Superb composition AlexK

The Red Pyramid, located at Dashur, is the third constructed by Sneferu and was the first true pyramid. It was built at a shallow angle but was the precursor to the Giza pyramids. Called the Red Pyramid due to the stones' reddish hue that could be seen at dawn or dusk, we arrived mid-morning and was unable to capture the colour.

SGTrekker and I completed the circuit early and decided to enter the Red Pyramid. No cameras were allowed. A snapshot but I am the only one to have this picture! Presenting the burial chamber in the pyramid, taken by my phone.

About one kilometer away lies the Bent Pyramid, also built by Sneferu. The original angle of construction may have led to structural instability. Others proposed the construction of the pyramid was hastened due to Sneferu's impending demise. Hence, the top half of the Pyramid was built at a more shallow angle, which was replicated in the Red Pyramid.

Here is our first group shot.

This is a very pleasant take themageman, colors and lighting outstanding. The only other way I can think of reframing the shot is to crop such that the entire background is checkered pattern ballooned filled with no blue skies to leave viewers wonder :)

nice series.
