i am really no surprised. and i am also surprised why anyone would think that the article is unfair etc.. its spot on.
lets face it, any normal person looking at the shoots advertised, would think the majority of us were all a bunch of chee hongs...
the line has definitely been crossed imo and i noticed that its become worse in the last couple of years.. so im glad to hear moderators are looking into this.

I guess he's the odd one out.Even if he's using the A100 that does not mean he belongs
to the Sony cam user community.But do agree that his 'desparate' kind of behaviour
berate his own character as a photog.Should have seen him during the Ms Earth 2008
pageant,other photogs present were all aghast at his actions too.

honestly, do what they (the media) say really matter? can they actually close us down for all this (sleeze)?
i think we're playing ourselves into their hands to keep harping on this issue. it's a right thing that the admin doesn't give a statement. unnecessary and it could possibly be detrimental to us.
for one, i don't think we here are sleeze bags. just because titles with NUDE on it get more hits, it doesn't mean we're all horny guys. if you think of it, i think posts with NUDE (with the intention of pure photography) in the title get more clicks simply because they're RARE on CS, and possibly other parts of the net. moreover, in singapore, with our ever so conservative society, nude makes us so much more curious.
i for one ALWAYS click on the NUDE threads. WHY? it's because i want to see how successful our CS / local guys can do nudes. i think it's damn hard to do good nude shots.
of course, i must agree that it's very possible that some people go there for their daily dose of porn, but it really isn't beyond our control right?!
imagine someone wanking off to a marble sculpture of the greek goddess aphrodite. he's definitely twisted, but hey, if that's how he 'interprets' art than so be it. erotica is a genre of literature too, you know. and likewise, art too has to have an outlet for the more libido-charged appreciators.

going along these lines...which btw i agree with...its hilarious that a few weeks back there was a thread started by someone who was saying nude shoot = porn and he promptly got shut down.

but, he's not wrong what. bare breast and nice nipples are PORN to singaporeans! i remember the very first time my secondary school teacher showed us CARTOON pictures of naked women, we went crazy. HAHA. that's how sheltered and 'sex-starved' we singaporeans really are!
anyhow, i hope we get more professional models doing nude shoots. tasteful and well shot ones of course.
BUT, i've got a question, if only the 'pro-pro' shooters get to shoot, as some of you guys have mentioned so as to keep the sleeze out, how do noobs who don't get nude models to pose for them start shooting nudes?! their spouses ah???? HAHAHA.

Check out the Services Wanted subforum ... bunch of noobs or noob-"pretends" looking for nude, semi-nudes and lingerie models there ... The Mods have not shut that avenue down yet ... so YES there is still a way for noobs to shoot nudes ... :bsmilie:
