Server Too Busy Messages

Think really need to do something about this...just reading this thread and posting this message I encountered "Server Too Busy Message" more than ten times including when I press the "Submit Reply" button!

Funny, I got this message last night about 9plus, I checked and there were only 300 odd users online. In the day can also get this amount of users, yet never hit the problem. Like what Deadpoet has noted, the slowness problem only started surfacing again after the relocation.

Just be patient and give the admin more time. I think they are waiting to see whether this is a common phenomenon after the school holidays. It is not cost effective if the admin has to broaden the bandwidth for this particular period only. However, if this persist after school holidays, then of course it would mean that something has to be done.
Just my 2 cents guess.

Why not? Just give the admin time to confirm whether it is due to school hols. Why it did not happen during the last hols was a lot of pp like me just join the forum.

Not likely to be due to school holiday....
Could be due to some illegitimate "scheduled job" that kick in at that hours consuming a lot of server resource. One method of DOS attack.
Give the admin more time to look into this.

Update: We are still investigating the slowdown but have been unable to implement any workarounds as we have been busy the last couple of weeks.

But, we now have a better idea of what is happening and within this week, we shall be re-installing the software on another server to eliminate several "suspects" that we have identified.

We apologise for the inconveniences that members have been putting up with these past weeks and we ask for your patience while we sort this out.
