Errh...help...guys..

Where do I get a not-so-expensive portable HDD for travel..?

Do I get the normal one HDD+Casing, then must find a computer to load in?
or...get a HDD+Casing+CardReader+BatteryPowered (very expensive) for travel?

I reckon I use it only once or twice when I travel...so got rent one?

I am going India 2 weeks ...
I noe that I need a lot of SD cards (i managed to borrow 2x 2GB, 1 x 1GB, i got 1x 2GB, 3 x 512GB., from good friends, colleagues, kakis... - hope enugh...must find more.....

Now is the headache...
HDD Storage,
Tripod or Monopod
Dry Cabinet (how to choose)
Flash..
not to mention other lens..(later, slowly, bonus coming soon)...

Fairy, Shoot using the M resolution mode. (The one which uses 5 Mega Pixels on your D80)

Hi Andy, I was thinking of that too..:) heehee.
I got friends suggestion that I used RAW and some says JPEG.
I am confused ...

After I used my laptop (my boss gave me as a christmas present), i just found that it is only 224RAM, 40GB HDD (12GB used liao)...can meh? OMG...

Must get new one...! no more tibits, cabs..etc...:bheart:

btw, what is bracketing? found the word in the manual...scratch my head and fell asleep....still dun get it..

erhm...do tink wisely la...... plan how much u are going to shoot...then u wun have to carry that much....

even on my s3pro...one week at hk didnt even fill up my 4gb card...

orh...worried...dun noe how to calculate..

erm.. u mean dry-box right?
any one also can, as long as weatherproof. inside put dessicant can already.

for storage, if can shoot at lower res, go ahead. general shots dun need full res (10MP).
but those once-in-a-lifetime shots the higher res the better. best is RAW, if not come back SG if exposure wrongly cry also no use.

bracketing.. put simply is that the camera automatically adjust the exposure for your shots in set increments. you will take 3 shots of the same scene (commonly) at different EV (exposure value), eg. +/- 0.3EV.

my analogy - say for a scenic shot you adjust the aperture and shutter speed to value n.

when you are in bracketing mode, you take 3 shots:
1st shot: n EV
2nd shot: n + 0.3 EV
3rd shot: n - 0.3 EV

so its kind of the camera adjust your exposure settings abit higher and lower, no need you to go tweak the exposure repeatedly.

hope this helps. =)
