It seems that Sony HDR-FX7 does not have native 16:9 wide aspect ratio chips and it does not have 24P recording. The CMOS sensors are 1/4 inch in size.

I am now looking at the Canon models XH G1 and XH A1 prosumer HD camcorders. The Manufacturer Suggested Retail Prices are USD$7000 and USD$4000 respectively. Most likely I will go for XH A1 at USD$4000 or SGD$6151, at the prevailing exchange rate of 1 USD = 1.53783 SGD. Its SGD$450 slightly more expensive.

The Canon XL H1 costs USD$9000 or SGD$13860.

just had to comment on this - the clarity and generally the shot is quite amazing.
i thought it was a photograph at first.
and, youve captured the intensity on her face fantastically.

i really like this shot. wish it was a hi res photo

Hi wobbly, yeah I agree.. its so photoghraph.
But in the mudpool, the lighting isnt fantastic, notice I took this screen cap when theres a flash? Great proper lighting really maximises your camera ablity..
