Arrrgghhh! I realised that my 8 x 2500mAh SANYO batteries are also not keeping their charge. Found out from past few photo outings that my flash will not charge up to full capacity only after about 5 shots!

Batch No: 05-08-0A.

Guess that I will have to make a trip down to The Heeren. :(

Just called up Phoebe. She is the one in charge of the battery replacement now, not Heather.

Take note that one need to charge the batteries 2 days before hand in order for them to test.

It is stamped on the battery.

No receipt needed. Only need to fill in a form on the spot with all the batteries serial no.

Serial number? Something like AJ537MJ532366?

You may use any charger to charge. I've discloed to them that I used the KONNOC charger for my batteries. It doesn't matter. The problem lies in the batteries.

The batteries must be charged exactly 2 days before? So if I charged it on Sunday, I can only bring it down on tues?

What if I charged it 1 day before bringing it down? Is that ok?

Hi tek, no, the batteries need not to be charged exactly 2 days before bringing down. The 'range' is between 2 ~ 7 days.

So, if you charge on Sunday, then the soonest that you may bring it to Sanyo will be on Tuesday - you are right on this point. Febiv insisted that I have charged my batteries for at least 2 days before bringing it down, as they need to test the batteries. As for my case, I charged mine on Monday, brought it down to Sanyo on Thursday. (within the 2 ~ 7 days before charge timing criteria)

oh ok. thanks for the clarification. :D guess i can only bring it down after tues. heh....

wonder if anyone knows whether the charger charges the battery individually or once one slot is full, it shuts off?

eg, slot A-D has batteries, once Slot A is full, the charger cuts off supply even though B-D may be 80% full.
or
After Slot A is full, B-D carries on charging.

It depends on the charger, whether the charger has individual circuitry for each of the batteries.

do we need to make an appointment before we go down?
