Hi,

Are current batch of Sanyo 2500AA batts still having problem? Thinking of getting the 8xSanyo2500 + charger from Eastgear..

Thx :)

I think all Sanyo NiMh batteries are made in China now...no?

My 1-yr old set of 4x 2500's died a couple of weeks back. It was ok all along and now it suddenly can't hold any charge. My 2100's bought earlier are still going strong. So much for Sanyo :(

Were you using them more than the 2100s? NiMh cells are supposed to last around 500 cycles or more, so sooner or later they will die irregardless whether they are 2100, 2300, 2500 etc. If not then perhaps you could try sending to Sanyo to check & see if can get them replaced.

Also you could try 'reviving' them with a Maha C204W charger See the link for details.

Thanks Cyril, but no, the 2100's were used far more. Anyway, I'll check with Sanyo.

yes sriram, Sanyo will most likely replace them. The just replaced 10xAA for me. (the batteries were more than a year old, batch 04-12).

Just make sure you email them first, make an appt and they can test your batteries on the spot. (Their testing machine can back to SG last week)

er can i bring mine over mine i think is the 2100AA .. but just like the 2500AA .. at first can take nearly 100 or more shots on A40 .. then now .. 20 shots or even less .. die liao ....

Unfortunately I think they'll only accept the 2500s.

hmm never mind i try and see .. lol .. thanks

I managed to change 2 x 4 of my 2,500aa batteries in Dec. but 1 has since died on me. Tried to revive it on my la Crosse charger but failed. Too much trouble to go to Sanyo just to replace 1 battery.

BTW a friend of mine was shooting with his CP E2, the Canon battery pack, used with the 580Ex, with me the other night with his 1Ds Mark II and he was able to shoot 2 continous shots each time. Was very impressed with the recycling rate. Apparently he is using Everready batteries (8 pcs) with his battery pack. Will definitely recommend that you look into getting these batteries if you can.

I'm interested in knowing too. Anyone? :)

What's about 2300? Can I still replace these pieces?

Many thanks in advance.

I went to Heeren last Wednesday with 10 fully charged batteries from a week ago. I was told that I needed to charge it a day or 2 before going down, otherwise the test would not be accurate. I was told that it was normal for rechargeables to discharge after 1 week. I was quite surprised as my other rechargeables (besides Sanyo) seem to hold up quite well. I take that to mean that the new Sanyos would discharge after a week. If that's the case, then I would rather throw away the 10 Sanyos and buy another brand rather than going down to change it again.

Mine discharged after a week too! :(

Can I still get them tested and replaced?
