read that there'll be a sanyo booth in the IT show booth #6244.. probably gonna help my friend change battery there. more convenient...

It will be wise to let them know in advance. They are , afterall, there to sell their products ..not exchange them :) If stocks are used for exchange, what's left for sale :bsmilie:

I seriously doubt they will entertain you there. Like AhV has mentioned, they are there to sell stuff not to do post-sales customer service. In fact, i doubt the staff at the booth would be even trained/informed about this batt problem & exhange issue in the first place.

I think that most likely handle by another company which help selling Sanyo items instead of Sanyo themselves  , which I think it's quitre unlikely to do exchange there.
If possible I like to change mine there also.

Bro Ahv, I like to exchange with you also :) , but I got AAA size as well, which I don't think you carry any.

The AAA size may not due to this AA size problem, just that one of the battery dead, cannot be charge at all. So I was thinking of go down to Sanyo and check. But I can never seem to find time to go down.
Will contact you through PM then.

Actually I wonder, to them, cross country changing worth it or not  ? Unless they really have a big quantity. Or they are on business/casual trip here.

The other brands you can look for are Konnoc, PowerEx, Energizer, Camelion (German).

I am using the Energizers at the moment and find that they can loast up to two months in the cam for as and when kinds of shots.

slight correction of info.....Kho King was referring to the NEW replacement batteries. These were made differently. So far, they have performed according to expectations.

I hope this clarifies :) As for 2100s or 2300s, pls bring them down to SANYO for testing ... it could be due to end of battery cycle life, frequent exposure to high temperature ...etc

Thank you, AhV. I bought 8 pieces in Jul 2004, still can change?

The stall at the IT Show is selling the Eneloop 2000mAh batteries borught in from Japan specially for sale at the show at $15.90 for a pack of two AAs. Official release will only be in June. The person I spoke to also said that the 2700mAH (not Eneloop) batteries should be coming out in one or two months too.

panasonic at level 4 also selling battery charges for 39.90, think 4 AA n free 2 AAA size batteries.

its the new battery with oxy ride or something , can use can chip in info of this battery ?

Oxyride are alkaline batteries & NOT rechargeable.

When the Sanyo batteries failed after 8 months of moderate use, I was disappointed. In fact, I lost faith in Sanyo and bought Energizers instead. I'm glad I hadn't thrown the Sanyo batts away yet. I exchanged 4 Sanyo AAs this afternoon. The service was prompt and courteous. Phoebe, the Sanyo customer rep, restored my confidence in Sanyo batts.

A big thanks to ling13 who started this thread. You did a huge favour to the CSers.

For your info, Energizer batteries are actually SANYO OEM cells. :)

I haven't had chance to go down to Sanyo CS yet so I am unsure if I still can change my 8 pcs of 2300 batts bought in Jul 2004?

Many thanks.

The stall 2500mAh batteries are made in china and the batch no was black colour printed instead of engraving. Thought sanyo battery are made in japan only?
