Samsung EX-1 Review

Haven been using compact camera for a long time.. last 2 compact cameras are Canon A75 and G3. Quite impress with the overall functionality and build of this cam.
Pros
- Tonnes of button, major control easily accessible
- Build quality is good
- tones of scene mode
- fast lens
- 24mm wide angle
- Dual control wheel --- (some SLR onli comes with 1 control wheel)
Cons
- manual sucks. I don't know how much they could save by printing less pages.
Lucky there is an online manual.
- the charging cable is damn short... shortest I have ever seen.
- VGA video only
- abit big for pocket.
- Slightly slow start up time.
- burst mode not veri fast
Shall comment on the quality when i charge up my battery.
I am now looking for a soft case for it... any recommendations?

Bought mine for $565 with 8gb card, extra original batt and screen protector.
Checked with SLR-R and was quoted $546 with just one extra batt but they ran out of stock for black. Only grey.

When I bought my EX1 from SLR-R, there was no grey colour. Is grey colour looked better?
Well the grey is a very dark tone of grey. It looks ok but the textured hand grip at the front of the grey set is black. So there is a colour difference between the grip and the rest of the body. Dont really like that haha..

haha. the OEM case also look like the purse which old aunty put between their armpit in the old days. lol
