Thanks you for sharing!!!

I will be heading to Osaka in Sept......

Your photos are really nice!! Me want more =)

Thanks...Will try to post more over later today. Only just started to process my day 4 pics yesterday night.

116) Bicycles everywhere. Out of all the places in Japan I've been, I believe I've seen the most bicycles in Hiroshima.

117) Tram stop

118) Taking tram back to Hiroshima station

119) A typical business class room (well, it was cheap though, so I can't really complain much). It was sooo small that both of us can't open our luggage on the floor at the same time.

120) Watching Harry Potter in Japanese on TV. It was interesting to see Dumbledore speak Japanese. haha.

-------end of day 3-------

Will start to post day 4 tonight (I hope)...

Nope. No oil splatters. (that I can recall). :)
It was such a huge portion that both of us can't even finish 1 between us.
Then you should have asked me along..............................:bsmilie: :bsmilie: ;p

Haha, oh ya, esp when you get into the bigger cities, the rooms get smaller.

The rooms were a big contrast when I was in Hakone compared to Tokyo. I almost couldn't get out of the toilet in Tokyo . It was so small, hence you know what size room I had.................:bsmilie: :bsmilie:

I used Nikon D700 + 24-70mm f2.8 for most of the time, but I also brought along my Panasonic Lumix LX5 as well.

Thanks for the advise... I'm thinking about if I should get 17-50 or 24-70. My biggest concern is budget..it is really quite a lot of difference in terms of the pricing but the photos u've taken is really tempting.

What camera body are you using?

Hi Sam...

I'm using Nikon D90.

For D90, best to pair it with 17-50mm, because 24-70 is a lens better suited for full frame system (D700, D3).
Morever the 24-70 won't be a 24-70 on a D90 body.
Unless you are planning to switch to full-frame body anytime soon, otherwise just stick to the DX lenses since they are adequate and wallet-friendly.

I have a D90 as well (and a D300), and I pair those up with a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8, Tokina 11-16mm f2.8, or if I'm lazy to keep switching lenses then I'll use my Nikkor 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 lens.

Taking a train from Osaka city center to a station called 'Ikeda' to visit the Instant Noodles Museum.

136) School girl on the train

137) Ikeda station

138) The Instant Ramen Museum is located just 5mins walk south of the Ikeda station.

139) Came across this lovely shop (cafe I think, can't recall for sure) while walking to the Instant Ramen Museum.

140) A statue of the Inventor of Instant noodles, outside the museum.

141) A wall full of cup noodles

142) Customize your own Nissin Cup Noodles (300yen each). Choose soup base, toppings, and design the cup.

143) Step 1: Buying the empty cup

144) Empty Cup

145) English Instructions

146) Step 2: Brainstorming on what to draw on my cup...

147) Step 3: Putting Noodles into the cup

148) The friendly staff manning the DIY cup noodles booth.

149) Step 4: Choose your soup base flavour and toppings

150) Cute fish cake
