thank for sharing. not very sure whether is my monitor's problem or not, do u think the shots are slight under exposed?

Went to Sentosa cafe del mar and shot 750 pics with one set of AA batteries. I could have shot at least 300 more, if my CF cards would not have been full. I think it is a very good autonomy.

Getting another AA battery tray for fast battery change action. 38 SGD. Not cheap but considering all the rechargeable AA batteries I have from the S2, it is a good investment.

I heard one fully-charged NP-150 is good for roughly 250 shots in RAW mode, screen preview turns off, not using VR and the built-in flash.

hmm...i got around 250 jpegs with lots of screen preview. but thats much less than what i got on my s3 with 4 konnocs. not very impressive.

what rechargeable AAs are you using? i'm reconsidering getting a 2nd np-150. might be more worth investing in a 2nd battery tray.

Care to share some close shots where we might be able to see more of it performs its dynamic range?

s5 manual says...

CAUTION
When using AA batteries with the Nikon MS-D200 AA
Battery Holder (supplied accessory of MB-D200), the
remaining battery level cannot be checked. In this case,
there is a possibility of shooting failure. Therefore, the
camera functions are not guaranteed when using AA
batteries. Also, the following batteries cannot be used:
- AA manganese battery
- AA NiCad battery
- AA lithium battery
The rechargeable battery, NP-150, is recommended.

so can still use.

sorry if i sound noobish. does it come with any kit lens?

Well, the battery levels works ! I can see the level slowly going down as I am shooting away.

Got another battery tray today. No regrets.

It was the same story with the S2 pro and the MB 16 of the F80. I know a lot of Fuji users (including me) that only uses AA battery and their cameras are doing great. Just make sure you always use charged batteries that is all. I always recharge my batteries before use. I do not leave them in the cam when camera is idle. Basic care.

Now choice is individual. will also get an extra Np 150.

Battery life on AAs doesn't stack up well against the S3 Pro. Nearly 700 shots before they died, versus over 1,100 on the S3, in a studio environment. Oh well. Got to return my loan unit very soon.

But, before that, some more fun stuff .... taken at F2 mode. No post-processing. This is one monster that brings out a lot of fun for me!

Where did u get the tray? Tot of getting one too.

Got it at Nikon showroom in the Fuji xerox tower on Anson road. Paid 38 SGd for it.

Thank you very much or the info.
Just to check with u whether if I can use EN-EL3e batt on the MB200 or do I have to use NP150?

Have not tried the nikon one but a third party brand in the grip and it did not work.

I will get an extra np 150 as well.

i've tested it. doesn't work... even tho the 2 batts look exactly alike, except for the brand names. wonder wats so special abt the 3e batt dat causes the s5pro (essentially a d200) not to recognise it. :dunno:
