did anybody test its extended dynamic range?
ah dang...![]()
hmm... i thot, since the s5 uses the same chassis as the d200, can't they use the same EN-EL3e batt? (not dat d200 is fantastic in batt life too... looks like they carry over the 'problem').
waiting for the IT show next week to have a look at the s5 b4 deciding whether to jump... :sweatsm: i'll definitely PM u for advice again, like last time.

i thought the d200 battery was rated at 1800 shots when it was launched?
photobum said:Confirmed! EN-EL3e battery cannot be used.
I am sure Eastgear will comes out with the generic NP150 before long. When you have country like China, everything can be made.

it's a characteristic of macro lenses.not only with s5 and s3. friend of mine tells me it also the same with his d200. apparently there is a writeup on this somewhere. from my tests, i can only get f2.8 from 3m onwards.
just did a test...its the same with my f80 also. so its a nikon thing.

Fully charged Powerex2700s can't last beyond 200 shots with VR running....
(I already read pg 175 of the manual, in case some of you think otherwise)
Using the camera with the MD200 is a cumbersome nuisance that I'd confine this beast to a studio environment. Outdoor shooting, I'd do so without the grip. *roll eyes*
2 continuous hours with the S5 Pro, and I'm beginning to wonder if I should hate it. Or try to get used to it. For the moment, I'm going to give it a rest. It's a very different animal if any S2/S3 Pro users are thinking of changing. Unless you are very comfy with a D200, may not really be a good idea.
