Hi All,

Please note the new batch of Raynox DCR6600PRO lenses will be in Singapore very soon, but quantity very limited, around 5pcs only, I think.

Kindly go to the Raynox Product thread to book this item. First come first serve. At $210nett, much better quality than original WC lens, said our customers upon viewing.

Thanks,
Jim, McGill

gd attempt at flora photography.. but sry to be alittle harsh.
#1.. i had a similar picture as dat but of a small flower rmbr? wat i'd gained frm comments of dat is to watch ur background.. rather messy and overexposed.
#2.. i wld prefer less walkway as now it looks like e point of attention is rather centralized (to me).. btw, y is e bench so orangey? taken durin sunset?
#3.. i can see wat u're tryin to achieve but it doesnT really work for me. perhaps show more of e bench? hmm.. wat i find dat makes tis pic. bare is the space between the bench, the pebbles and the flowery shrubs.
btw, wat ISO did u use? looks a tad noisy for me..

Hey bro, long time never hear your comments, good that you still do:)

#1 You r right, the background is a bit messy and overexposed....the flower in the foreground was under the shadow of a building and the background is in the sun, thats why. I back ground is no choice....think it's worse if I shoot the background with the road and building...I understand the typical photography standard is "clean" background, but I think personally I like the overall feel of the pic, which can tell me more about the environment, than just the obj alone.....may be I am more incline into travel shoot, where the environment is also part of the pic, unlike nature macro shoot, where the aim is to capture the obj (flower, insect, animal...) only. This is just my personal preference, and I am not defending myself or being offended leh, hope you are not offended woh.....keep you comment coming!!

#2 Yah, it was shot at around 6pm...harsh sunlight. But happen to be there at that time.:)
Erm, the orange is caused by saturation adj....:bsmilie:

#3 You are saying you prefer more space between the bench? If you are saying the noise on the bench, it is the actual texture of the bench. All the setting shouldn't be above ISO200. Got to check when I am home...

I am thinking that this 3 pics look quite like water colour painting....what do you think if I PP them with water colour effect?

Lastboltnut, do other pples pics on the forum look underexposed to you also? If yes, may be your monitor setting. If not, check the exposure compensation setting in the function menu of the cam and see if it is at 0. If it is already at 0 compensation and you still find your pics underexposed, try setting it to slightly positive. Another thing is if you meet up with someone who got the cam, you may want to compare by taking the same thing under identical conditions to see if the pics turn out different. If really different, mebbe should ask the service center if anything wrong with the cam.

Ha! My son....waiting for him to learn to sit by himself....then can shoot and shoot;)

Din see you post in the gallery with your 350D pic...

lastboltnut, your pics. are getting better each day.

Since you are bonded to home, does that mean you are going to miss out all the shooting opportunities this coming sat? (Cosquest, Fashion Revolution, Miss Bikini, SFF)

Hey david, thanks again for your encouraging words.:)

Yah, hoping to go catch the SFF....I am not into portrait shooting.....may be after I have master travel shooting...:)

If you decide to go to SFF and would like to join Static, GeckoZ and me PM us.

What can I say, as the word 'travel shooting' suggest...you will have to 'travel' too. :)

Yah, trying to shoot whenever I have the chance. That's why I cherish every outing I have and shoot at NTU too when I visited them for about 1+ hour. But my company doesn't allow me to bring cam, so I dun have my cam with me everyday....:(

Edited: Hey, forgot to thank you for your invitation.
