since you guys are talking about BW, how's this? :think:

Personally, I would perfer the umbrella and newspapers on the table to be taken away. :)

Been really busy lately, no time to shoot or post. Here is something that I did recently.

Which frame works better for you? White or black? Any idea if these shots apply for the Portraits and Poses section?

The jars will be sold during the upcoming Ballet Under the Stars. (I have no affiliation with SDT). Go support your local arts scene!!

If there is nothing outside the door, then I will find it too dark. But it is interesting to see the buildings outside to add in the contrast between the bright outdoor and the dark indoor, and the purpose of reading by the door. If more details can be seen at the legs portion......a bit too dark there. But very nice feeling, relax at home with clean floor.:)

Did you take the pic in the BW mode from the S3 or PS after the shot?

oh i took this pic with a S2 instead. and PP it using photoshop. ;)

like abit over grainy leh? :nono: :bsmilie: use photoshop to BW it instead of camera. the effect would be better. :sweat:

Ya, too crowded. It was in Sentosa......so cannot help:(

Too bright huh? Ok, the grains were created with ISO 800:D

Thanks for the comment.

Hmm..doesn't work for me. Too many subjects in the photo (doesn't seem to work well in BW). Try to lower the brightness, I think the grains may be more smoothen out. :)

Actually I PP from a colour shot. May be I am not good at mixing the channel.....:(

I think if I crop tighter, it looks better. The noise is from ISO800.

Thanx for the comment

Just uploaded a few humble shots that I did 2 days ago at City Hall area with bro 'Edgedale'.

There are 2 BW photos there too. For your comments please.

Cityhall Shootout

Very nice series of photos. For the "Stairway to Esplanade" and the orange colored sky of "CBD view@nite", did you custom the white balance which you have told me last time?

"stairway to Esplanade"-> No
CBD view@nite -> No

Anyone here wants to meet up for a shoot tomorrow nite (21/7)? "Edgedale" and "Static" may be joining me.

We thought of walking up Sheares bridge to shoot. And also 2 other sites around Suntec.

I'm free to meet up from 5:30pm onwards @ Cityhall MRT.

Tom, what say you? On? :thumbsup:

Recently a bit difficult, rushing for papers.

Do you mind to share you settings?

It's ok, some other time then.

Actually, you can see the EXIF if you save and open the photo on your PC.

But anyway, here it is:-

Stairway to Esplanade => aperture:f3.5, shuttle:1/2s (my mistake, it WAS on custom white balance) :)
CBD view@nite => apertur:f3.2, shuttle:1.6s, WB:Cloudy (wrong setting, but what's done cannot be undone) :(

oic. quite impress of the color. so far i haven't play with that yet :)
