Alright, my turn to post AGAIN liao..:bsmilie:

A few humble shots from SBG:-

1) SBG01
2) SBG02
3) SBG03
4) SBG04
5) SBG05
6) SBG06
7) SBG07

As usual, c&c welcome...:)

I love the Pic 1!!!! but seems to be slightly slanted though, should rotate abit and it would be PERFECT! Great DOF too!

Pic 2 would look better if it follows the rule of third... but the angle is cool.

Everything is nice about Pic 3, 4, 5 and 6. LoL~ Framing is good.

Pic 7 is a nice BW shot too. Nice contrast. But what is that thing suppose to be?

1) Hmm...didn't notice that. :embrass:
2) Noted and thanks.
3-6) Thanks.
7) Some ancient thingy that uses shadow to tell time, I think.

1/6 shutter? U were not shooting living things huh? If not their movement won't blur the pic? u use tripod? If not you have very steady hand.....especially at 12x zoom...:)

i did some shooting at the airpot not long ago too, i didn't push up the ISO. I shot them at F/4 and 1/6 sec. the brightness was ok, but i didn't really shoot much cos i didn't see anything interesting.. and sometimes i just got dejected and gave up some shots becos of the low light sensitivity. It wouldn't give me anything nice.

e first pic. is rather nice.. but it looks alittle reddish to my likin. and e overexposed part of e duck is rather distractin..

haf nt been using my S2 dat often recently.. so canT post. here's one frm e zoo..

You sure about that?

haha~ probably u can shoot the fireworks since the security says it would be opened by end of this month. but prosumer cameras like S2 and S3 wouldn't do a good jog in fireworks shooting, results would be VERY BAD from my guess...
Get a SLR for that if you can, cos for SLR, u can use F/8 and above, and shutter speed only 3 seconds. This would produce ultra sharpness and just the right timing to get the full bloom of the fireworks. for prosumer with low ISO, u probally needs to do F/3.5 and shutter speed of 10seconds?

Hi ppl,

I have some pics of a school. Please feel free to comment.

Thanks!

I am not very sure, but I think f3.5 is too big and 10sec is too long.....but I haven't try, never taken fireworks before.....see how it goes next Sat (29/07):) May be my skill too lousy, then don't do justice to S3.....more people try to take with S3 lah! I know DavidGoh will be taking:)

i was shooting people, and the pic was blury, so i gave up after a few shots, and then i went ahead for macro flower photography and shot the plants there instead. :bsmilie:

Agree, f3.5 with 10sec is suicidal.:nono:

Don't say 'lousy' lah, we are all doing 'trial and error' too what.:)

Yes, I'll be taking...but only on SFF and actual NDP. And I'm sure 'Static' and 'GeckoZ' will be shooting too!;)

err.. which point are u refering to?? i'm sure about the EXIF for SLR, but for prosumer, it's just my guess..

i think pic 1 was very nice lor. the colour is vibrant and i felt life in it. it works for magazine photos!! Great shot!
pic 2 and 3 are brilliant as well! You did better then what I could produce for this type of tree shots.
I don't like pic 4..
pic 5 was ok.. average lor..

They are much better then your other pics which I've seen. Congrats.

ya same here, i oso nv try before.. and nv even read anything abt fireworks shots for prosumer cameras.. what i thought of was that, prosumer got really low light sensitivity, and the distance between the fireworks and camera are like soooo far. so i'm not very sure actually...

if u all going maybe can jio me along??? I would be interested to give my prosumer a try too.

S'pore Fireworks Festival. 'Static' is Derek loh...;)

Nope, I don't have tickets for it. 10sec is alright, but gotta' UP the aperture. Try f8, should be alright.
