Rumours of a Pentax Pro DSLR in May

The leak may have been somewhat irritating, but it's useful to see how sales change. The K20D at 670 is still an exciting proposition: if sales are good what I would do in their position would be to delay the announcement further, until products were ready to ship. If sales were bad I would bring up the announcement, and bump the price of the announced model (but not to completely unrealistic heights). Only if that failed would I try a price cut.

Cutting prices to boost demand is generally a worst case scenario.

I am a little blur here... but why are so sure Fengwei? Do you have insider info? :bsmilie:

BTW, I think 1.3x crop is a disaster when it comes to ultrawide shooting. APS-C lenses will vignette and FF lenses are not wide enough. Doh...

Just guessing......perhaps a viewfinder magnification of 1.3x instead of 1.3x crop sensor? This plus the 100% FOV viewfinder would make it the biggest ever viewfinder in the APSC class, and the most comfortable to use. Professional photographers will definitely appreciate it, reduced eye strain from aiming with one eye all day long.....become pa jiao liao:bsmilie: One eye big, one eye small lol:bigeyes:

I hope I can still use my DA 21mm on the 1.3 crop sensor if it is true, that will make it 27.3mm ;p. Anyway from those full-frame film test shows the DA40 and DA70 still can be used except for the DA21 with vignetting on the corners. So I hope 1.3 crop should be ok.

Don't worry, you won't see a 1.3x sensor implemented on a Pentax dSLR camera anytime soon, if ever at all ;)

K-7 has no built in flash????

RTF?
Don't know what it stands for, but "Yes, Manual Pop-up" sounds like built-in flash.

RTF - ReTractable Flash or Retractable TTL Flash :) And yes, the K-7 would have built-in flash which is RTF just like the other Pentax dSLR cameras.
