"The Workers' Party (WP) on Monday urged the public to refrain from speculating and making unnecessary accusations as the police investigates the Little India riot.

In a statement on its website, the WP added that the Committee of Inquiry that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is convening should study the riot's underlying causes, so that the Government can address them and prevent such an incident from happening again.
