Lovely set, lovely lens that's plenty sharp, the A12 sensor is doing well here.

Thanks! The sensor does perform very well. Even underexposed a little. Noise is reasonably well controlled too.

I do hope they add some sensor cleaning in the future though. A check on my sensor reveals that there's a fair bit of dust. The dust blower can't do much.

Sharing some shots from level 33, MBFC tower 1, which offers a really fantastic bay view of marina bay, shenton, esplanade.

2 stitched shots view with light show. For those interested, level 33 has a microbrewery and food here. food is 26-40++, beer is 15 1 pint i thk, dessert ~15. Can also go in mid afternoon very empty and quiet, and a cuppa coffee cost 6... Light show at MBS is at 8, 9.30 daily and extra 11pm on Fri & Sat, last for 13 minutes each time. All taken with Voigtlander 12mm/5.6 LTM.

welcome to the family ;), i peal if off.

how do you control the aperture on the nikon on GXR? is it only workable on older lenses?

Afaik, the nikon "D" lenses has aperture rings, but the "G" doesn't. So it's the older manual lenses and the "D" like 35/2D can use on GXR, not the G. U can see motionstills thread here, he uses some AI and D lenses with pictures of the lens+gxr. Maybe motionstills might know more.

On ebay, there's jinfinance/RJ adapter which mentions that "has aperture ring on the adapter to allow adjusting aperture of Nikon G type lens through the adapter",
not sure if it works though, i sent a message to seller, he should answer soon.

Edit: Just got this message from jinfinance. "there is a aperture lever on the rear of your G lens.. this adapter will allow pushing that lever to adjust the aperture..."

But since there's no aperture markings, i suppose you can only estimate. Hope that helps

I know. I just got an Amedeo adapter for Nikon to M mount. I might go try some Nikon S-mount lenses instead.

But I have been eyeing getting the Canon 85/1.8 but... yeah... cost... With that sort of money, I might as well go get the Voigtlander 75mm/1.8
