very sorry to hear about this!! my heart goes out to you! i've nearly lost my set up before the same way, now i ALWAYS LOOP the strap on my lap and make sure the zips are all in front of me (or behind if i'm seated on the MRT, with bag between my legs). that way i won't forget and certainly no one can nick anything without me noticing. better to be kiasu. btw has anyone informed the second hand shops?!

guess what, I forgot my camera waist pouch on the train and alighted. Quickly told the station manager and they had someone go grab it when the train is at the next station...

Really panic man... ... guess nowadays people more 'honest' when they see camera pouch on the MRT Train cos afraid of 'bomb'?

please be patience ,the police has alot of cases and red tapes procedures. You need to knock the right heads then everthing will moves fast.

Thanks for the infor, airforce1.

You are right that the police indeed have alots of cases to handle.
A motorbike was stolen in SengKang recently, children playing fires and other cases and etc etc.
There is so call red tapes procedure as what you said.

And again, they told me to patience as they are following the cases, despites, I have thrown everything to them.

I am very mentally tired of the follow up.
Lost of cameras, pinning hopes on Police Force.

Will e-mail my cases to the approriate person-in-charge to follow up.
And will call them everyday.

KT,

not sure if this will help, but you can try calling the investigating officer-in-charge every other day to enquire about the status of your case. if there is progress made (even small progress) in the investigation, that's encouraging news for you, if there is no progress, he/she will start to feel paiseh and to work doubly hard on your case.

:)

Thanks for the advise zaren.

Will definitely do it.

ok.. so what they are saying is a stole motorbike needs attention and a "stolen" bag full of eqs dun need...?

anyway, try emailing and calling them everyday... they are living on taxpayers's $ anyway.. so i dun think its a crime or anything to call them everyday and check for updates... they are YOUR eqs afterall... :) so i dun think the police can complain even if u bug them everyday..

Thanks for the reminder KT. Really hope you'll be able to get back your gears soon. :)

Just chase them today.
When I heard their infor, I almost fainted. ;(

The Police say now then there are screening the data of the suspect's details from card databank.
They have been doing it from last Saturday until now.

After that, then can check the suspect's address from Bank.

After that, then pass to HQ for officer-in-charge to handle.

I really dun believe what I hear.

They told me to be patience as there a lot of steps and procedure to move on.
Are they right or I have lost my patience ?
bank only need 1-2 days to retrieve their transaction logs. i've dealed with payment gateway and they have asked the bank to checked their transaction logs b4, and they got back to me in 2 days (due to transaction discrupcy)

just read the st's front page news of a miscarriage after being accosted by loanshark. despite no less than 4 reports lodged, their menacing harrassment continues. so, let reality sinks in.

King Tiger,

Sorry to hear about the incident. Hope everything is getting better.

Cheers
