Recommended memory card for A7R?

Ya..i found the official sandisk distribuyor here the warranty is sh×t... why need original packaging, the receipt not enough to show you that is from them ?

Ya... like *Hei Dian* like this.... tell you have warranty... but make it so hard to give... knn...... :thumbsd:

yes. you can use FF A-mount lenses with the LA-EA3 or 4 adaptor.

and no... i was originally shooting with Fujifilm, Olympus, Pentax and Nikon :)

anything BUT Canon :p

Can E mount mount on A mount? Need another adapter???

I am anything but Canon for DSLR... for pns... I used panasonic...

All these adapter not cheap at all.... maybe I just "quai guai" be a faithful one.... rather then hop around.... as I think it is more expensive like this

I went to play with A99, A77, A65... and seems Sony cam no longer so toyish as before...

A99 and A77 feel good... but I just wondering if manual focusing is ok with A7R or A99 since they are EVF..... or maybe cos I am not used to it yet...

Does your A99 batt last long??? EVF should consume a lot of power...

my A99 lasts pretty long, and more than what it's rated for on the spec sheets.

With an EVF, Manual Focusing gets much easier :)

E-mount Lenses cannot be mounted on the A-mount lens mount due to the shorter flange back distance.

and yes. stay faithful to one lens mount: Leica M :)

A700, A850, A900 dint feel toyish neither... There were from before...

I am sorry if I have not clarify my position clearly...

I tested Sony DSLR when it first came out and those were "toyish" to me and since then, I have not touch Sony DSLR till the A7, A99, A77 & A65 recently... ie. a few days back.... So I dunno about these models as I have not touched them... ;)

+1. I hv A850 and A500. Both are good cameras. No video capability, purely still cameras. They are definitely not toys. I felt that people don't 'see' what Sony is capable of then.

If I have offended you by the word "TOY", I am sorry.

I stick to my gun, and I call those era toy because it used a lot of cheap and light plastic that made the camera toyish feeling....

Sony was a new entry, so I was a Sony users for years in video, and tv, and I was disappointed by the DSLR design then, and have not touched it till recently...

Anyway... even if I use the word 'toy', it still qualifies, as we all are buying a DSLR, and it is a pastime... or career for others.

No offense intended nor felt. No rights or wrong, its just personal opinion. Back then, everything Sony churned out was deemed wrong even if the camera is capable.

Can't blame them...back then these two made the best camera with the most comprehensive arsenal of lenses for almost all users. If I have to choose a system, it will be from these two. Everyone keep telling me if I buy a Sony, I will have to stomach an immediate depreciation of 50% as soon as I walk out of the door. Back then, no one touches Sony SLR

Depends on batches. When I get a micro sd for phone, was told it's problematic. After 3 months, really spoilt but it's life time warranty, so 1 to 1.

After getting my video camera, I go for 2 x 64gb sd. One for video camera, the other, for next dslr. Get more as future mp will be needing more memory, imagine a 16gb is common nowadays.

Back to topic, fast card reduce r/w speed. Every second counts, doubt u want to miss a photo when your buffer is full and object gone in next second. Heh heh!

Now, Sony A7/R is creating the headline... after X100 from Fujifilm... and their X-pro....

FF is the way to go and I do not see a point to get a APSC.... if money can afford...

I would love to have a A7 too... lucky have antidote... :)

As a hobbyist, can go for the A7 with Metabones. You can adapt your Canon lenses. You can then keep your 7D and retain your existing lenses. But if for work, then keep the Canon. AF not as fast via adapter on A7.

I'm just a hobbist. Was looking at a7 as a compact set up when I do not want to bring out the big guns..... was thinking fuji initially but Sony ff kill that path.

The adapter will make the transition easier and cheaper too....

Maybe a 35mm f2.8 is sufficient... but poison is deep here...... so just thinking about it first.

You shouldn't enter the thread on A7/A7R images then :bsmilie:
