I didn't ditch the Sony..i used it on my NEX6...I got my sandisk from ebay so it's way cheaper
And yea, Sony's advertisment is kinda misleading..it says 90m/s but that's only read speed..they never advertise the write speed which is almost half that of Sandisk Extreme Pro...and we all know write speed is more important than read speed..

Most of the manufacturers do that. At least there's a disclaimer.

at least, not on the ones i saw at some of the stores at SLS. just some plain foil packaging with some very small fonts on the back.

And there are plenty of fake cards out there on the market (i.e., ebay) and including sandisk brands. That being said, I wont know how to distinguish clearly either.

Cybermind, Bizgram, Best Bargian, PCtheme, Fuwell, Laser, Storage studio, sony gallery. Cheapest for sandisk are Bizgram and Best bargain. The rest of the shops i really dun bother to be honest. Cheapest i saw for a extreme pro 64GB was S$154 at best bargain.

My last dozens of memory cards/thumb drives all buy from there...good prices especially for the high-end Samsung memory cards

I don't think it's a good idea to get 64gb cards. On the pessimistic side, if your card is corrupted you lose everything.

I have many 16gb cards (My heart can only takes so much!!) 32s are too risky for risky for me and 8gbs are too cumbersome.

i agree...SD cards have the tendency to fail..sometimes.. I too prefer multiple 16gb cards vs 1 big 64GB one. However, the prices of 16gb these days almost same as 32GB..so i just buy a 32GB as my main card and few 16gb as standby

32GB is the highest size that is still very stable (SDHC). As you moved to 64GB, they become SDXC and still not very stable. I have one 64GB Sandisk Extreme Pro and didn't last long before it is corrupted.

32GB can take a few hundreds of RAW+jpg with my A7R, more than enough for 2 x battery change. So just get a few 32GB as back up, if you are shooting like machine gun...

I think better to have more smaller size cards... I thought 16 GB is a lot for me already... I not a GPMG shooter... more like sniper, and using MF lens.

8Gb is good for you. Especially for CNY.

Just buy all the 8GB cards available. Very cheap - less than $10 per pc. Stock up a dozen before it gets obsolete with the fast growing memory size/speed.

Have you tried other brands of 32gb cards?

Perhaps it's a problem just with that one SD card

I like a combo of 16,8 gb sd card....

Good for cny.. . I usually transfer files to my pc so I do not need that many card actually.
