r00ki3's LandScapes and ScenEries

Bro check out Jonathan's (Draken413o) take on this. His is definitely and way much better than my version :)

Yes, I thought I saw a twin pic... his is straighter though. You didn't use ruler measure yours arh? ;)

Also the LE clouds looks more drama, and also somehow I find the tonal range of his photo better :dunno: yours feels a bit too "sharp".

I have trouble composing for this..so much land yet so limited standing room..it was muddy all over..plus I'm short so I really have to correct this and tried as much to straighten the flats and retain the one on the nearest right.
Yup his is definitely better than mine :)

Heh okay. Software correction? But that means you will lose the edges, hor? yeah, very tight there with single shot.

It was corrected extensively in post editing too :)

#127 is  bro.
you caught a ray of light too...!

My nitpicks:
- the movement of the clouds is not so pleasing. The clouds didn't move enough to convey a sense of movement.
- the dark spot along the middle of the right-edge of the frame is a bit distracting. Maybe due to water swirling at the shore?

Thanks Kev!

Yup..I think I must get a good GND filter to stack in future. This was exposed for 3mins30secs at f22. And I still could not get the clouds to 'move'. It was a windless and humid afternoon when I took this. If I exposed it longer the sky would get overblown I guess..

That was the water breaking and swirling on another rock actually. I didn't clone it away though :embrass:

Do not compose against the light source especially on hot sunny day.

You may want to add CPL or another 2 fstop ND to prolong the exposure to get movement in the sky..

True Thomas I have this habit of composing against the sun, I will keep this in mind next time.

I tried CPL before but the sky tones always look weird and seemed wrong. Maybe the filter I used was of lower quality one :dunno:

But I will definitely try again using CPL filter and extra fstops ND. Thanks again mate for the poniters :)

Hi Zul, this is very very nice. I've been trying but cannot. How did you do it?;)
I know is LE but the result is not the same for me.:(

Sorry for the late reply..been very busy this past week or so..
It's quite easy actually..I just attached ND110 to my zoom lens, zoomed in to the subject/s, compensate the exposure and took the shot, nothing magical...
And I did some minor processing in Photoshop to add gradient and to bring out the details of the twigs :)

the last few are nice. i must say, i prefer 129 to 128, the light is so much less flat.

Thanks night86mare! :)
I agree with you totally..
I'm still trying hard to build some form of consistency in my composition, and my processing especially.
I'm just amazed (and sometimes envious hehe) at how consistent you, Thomas and other experienced guys whom I follow closely in here, in your images and how they are being conveyed :)

Wa.. Zul, you are back. Thanks for the tip. Btw, #129 is great gradient balance and contrast.
