i like this bro!!

oi.... ? You got nice sky in this hazy weather? impressive....

:)

I find that the row of boats 'obstructs' my eyes from wandering further into the middle and background. It's like the "great wall of boats", so to speak... ;)
If only there was a strong "anchor element" along the far shoreline... instead of that nondescript building.

Hahahaha..no la bro..this was taken few days back before the haze.. I have some hazy scenery shots taken at ECP on Friday..I shall see whether I will post them here :embrass:

In fact the row of boats was my anchor subject/s for this shot but was placed awkwardly intentionally or otherwise because of the location where I stand, and also where the boats were anchored. The background itself was dull and so uninteresting, except for the quite colourful sky. So I had to have some interesting subject to anchor the pic together.
Thanks for the pointers bro :)

understand what you mean bro.
Yesterday (saturday), attended the live judging at the Images of Asia contest @ Suntec.
There was a rather nice photo of a waterfall, with lovely soothing colours and rendered nicely with long exposure. But unfortunately the judges kept harping on a lone tree trunk that 'obstructed' the eyes from being led into the scene. Just so happens the tree was there. Could see the shooting position was already next to the cliff edge. Any further to the right and.... :hung:

Yah, allmost all the time you are the one who have to move your around to get that 'perfect' composition but the natural obstacles surrounding you just make it impossible at times. Either you have to compromise and recompose in a way best suit your intended composition, or don't take the shot at all.

Excellent la! Processing looks familiar. hahaha

hahahaha...of coz familiar la..I learnt from you! lol...
I have another one similar to your pop one..but mine not so POP lei...I'm still waiting for my pop :(

It's been a while since I visited your thread. Your recent works are impressive Zul! Keep them coming! :D

Hi Zul,
Another "rock solid" one. I like it very much.:thumbsup:QUOTE]

Thanks Manita..I processed this differently from the norm.. I dropped some colours and then used Nik Silver Efex to convert it to sepia tone :)

I prefer 135 to 136, though the exposure seems slightly unnatural. A tad too bright in the foreground.
In terms of composition, I like 136 more. hehehe I'm fickle I know...

wah bro, your processing beri POWER
