In Shanghai where I am now, just found out today:

a. EOS 20D (body) = RMB12,500 = S$2,500
b. EF 17-40 Ultrasonic f/4L USM = RMB5,600 = S$1,120
c. EF 70-200 Ultrasonic f2.8L IS USM = RMB13,700 = S$2,740

All comes with International Warranty.

Think I'm gona get all 3 this weekend.

Been to Peninsula Plaza and Funan today. Lowest quote of all by Cathay $2700 for body alone. The salesman at Song Brother noticed that i'am not too happy wif his quote and asked me what's the lowest quote i got so far. He's able to match it... so u guys can try $2650 w/GST at Song...

The Song Brothers i went to is at Funan 3rd floor iirc. U can try $2600+ and see if it goes thru...

Any1 knows if the staffs at Cathay and Song are equally knowledgeable abt cameras? Dun wanna get answers like "I dun know..." because of minimal savings...

I was down at Canon Service Center couple of days ago.

According to them, only lenses with International Warranty will be honoured. You must also produce receipt from that country where the warranty is issued.

Doesn't apply to bodies according to the guy I spoke to. Bodies need to be sent back to the country of origin for warranty repair/service.

Anyone confirm this?
