Actually, you can find out your weight for free lor. In Aust, alot of department stores carried many bathroom scales........just pull one out and put on the floor. Some more got few to try out....more accuracy

hmm do i have to strip myself there? cos i think the clothes also take some weights... best is to measure naked rite...

If you insist, take the bathroom scale into the changing room lor. Best of both world :bsmilie:

:think: maybe you can try to nick one off the shelf? :sweat: I still remember one of my classmate used to walk into the supermarket.....ate the chocolate bar and walk off without paying during lunch.
 

Hmmm i rem loosing 25kg in 2 mths .... but then , i was really fat (alot of "potential") :bsmilie:

keke is this a cold joke :P.. i have two weighing machine at home.
but everytime see doctor will request to weight, because her is digital one.. more accurate :P
 

So.. how's your exercise program?
My colleague said i fat liao.. waist look thick -.,- i think tonight i better take Unsweeten Soya Milk for dinner.. -.,-
 

I just started my diet, wanted to loose some 5kgs in 3 weeks. I have begun a zero to low carbo diet. Eating mostly meat and some vegs only, no rice, wheat noodles.

I saw this program on Discovery channel about the Atkins diet and wanted to try if I can reduce 5 kgs in 3 weeks.

Anyone can advice what harmful effects if any by eating like this? according to the program if the body could not find carbo to burn as energy, it will turn on to burn the protein and fat, thus causing to reduce weight fast and this is what the Hollywood stars were doing to reduce weight fast.

I just wanted to test out the methods and see for myself how much can I reduce by strictly following this diet, but worry if there are any harmful effects, just started this yesterday, if harmful will stop.

I don't think there is side effect lah.. the most u will feel weak :p.
Last week on newspaper, one of the TSC actress also using this plan.. u know the girl who sing with Tufit at the National Parade? She is the one lor ;)

Thanks... I wonder if it is effective why not popular with the general masses? can eat all the "unhealthy" stuff leh, just don't touch carbo.

FYI, I have very high Triglyceride levels and currently on Lipitor 10mg daily a cholesterol lowering drug.

Anyway, will try it for 3 weeks only and see how much I can loose, will revert back to eating normally after that and then go for my yearly physical.

Two years ago my Triglyceride levels was 495 (goodness me!!) and last year it dips to 325 (normal level should be 200). It was a shocker for my physician and myself as I am not fat at all, later I realised not being fat does not mean you are safe from coronary heart diseases, further investigations by my physician pointed to my liking for cockels, I can eat them by the kilos dip in chilli garlic sauce all alone and was doing this every several weeks.

I never touch them for 2 years already. :sweat:

Just want to share my personal experience on the low-carb diet. Personally I lost more than 20KG over a period of 4 months 2 yrs ago.

For the first couple of days (3 to 5 days) when you go low-carbs, you will feel weak, some bouts of headache here and there and extremely moody. Once you been through this stage (which many people can't, they give up and tell you the diet don't work), you will feel energetic and everything will go back to normal. You know you are in Ketosis when your breath smell a little. That is normal. If you like to confirm, you can get those Keto-Dialystix from the pharmacy but they are not cheap. Drink lots of water because you can't retain much water when you go low carbs. You will loose 3 KG easily within a week because those are water weight. Remember to exercise. Diet + Exercise is the most simple and effective way to lose weight. No rocket science. And don't bother about weighing yourself on the scale everyday, you can't see the small weight loss much. Weigh once a week for some morale boosting, else let your clothes do the talking :) (I went from Size 42 to Size 34, burnt a hole cos have to buy new clothes)

And one more thing. Tell your friends, family that you are going on this diet. Most people will say you are crazy not to eat rice, bread and etc. You will need their support and understanding. I personally encounter all these. But end of the day, when I show them the before and after pictures, they are speechless. Remember, lot of discipline, family support and willpower is needed and weightloss don't happen overnight. Good luck ;)

Hey what is Triglyceride levels ?
U mean stick to that plan want to eat Oily meat?? NO NO NO is bad for health!!.. gosh. I thought u eating Steam meat and stir fried kind. That actress eat steam meat leh..

Thanks... for me the most difficult part is the exercising. I really hate exercising, dieting is not a problem.

Look at you... you lost 20kgs, that is no mean feat man. :thumbsup:

Triglyceride is the most common type of fat in the body. Many people who have heart disease or diabetes have high triglyceride levels. Normal triglyceride levels vary by age and sex.

Oh... ok noted, will cut down on oily stuff too.

The guy who 'invented' the Atkins diet died of multiple problems this year.... all the hollywood stars stopped this diet immediately!

Exercise and moderate diet works best....
