Proposal for mass order for Velvia bulk roll thru Cathay

Looks like the Provia 400F bulk roll mass order thru Cathay was quite successful. Shall we approach Cathay for Velvia next???

They do have Velvia in stock, right? If so, then no need to special mass order like Provia 400. After the Provia 400 case...is CP going to "trust" us again? Is everyone collecting their order?

I think he was trying to say that the problem was that not all 30 people (who have ordered via Cathay) have collected their rolls..

So hence the bad name.

Guys, for the Provia 400F, i think there will be people buying... so no worry that if CP is going to lose out... especially when Ruby runs out of the stock, these people will goes to CP... further more, 400F is in demand... although not as much as 100F... still who doesn't wants to have cheaper useage of slides... can save at less $4 per roll...

as for Velvia... maybe can try asking Ruby to get for u guys... anyway, i'll be trying to ask Ruby to get for me next month...

To clear up any confusion on the Provia 400F "case" - only 2 members (or 2 cans) were not taken as promised by ClubSNAP members; so the trust and relationship that we have with Cathay is not affected.

In fact, I had also posted on other forums (NPS and Offstone) to let them know that there is Provia 400F available and to the best of my knowledge, there is now only a limited number of cans available.

So Kho King, unless you have information or specific feedback from CP regarding the "case", appreciate if you would contact me or any of the FMs directly rather than throw generalisations into the open forum.

For those who are interested in doing a Velvia MO, please indicate interest and number of cans, and we will approach CP to see if its possible. The same T&Cs will probably apply - min. of 30 cans to justify.

just FYI, i picked up a can on Sat, quoting that i'm from CS. saw only like 3 cans left in the fridge.

I bought 5 cans in total from CP. Came in rather handy for NDP and Fashion shoots over the weeks though. Many be getting 1 more or two this week.

For Velvia MO, other than CP, Photoguide maybe another option.

actually, considering the long time it took for the cans to arrive, I'm quite suprised at the level of commitment. Eventhough at times it seemed that they will not get here, when it did, almost all pledges were fulfilled.

I called up Cathay Monday afternoon and was told that they have a can left and it was reserved. Was hoping the person would forfeit on it so that I can go get it Tue/Wed.

So, it was you Adam who reserved that. I am disappointed of course, but I'm happy you got it. After all, it was you who gave me a personal lesson on bulkloading and helped me in getting my loader.

Bulk Velvia, I'm keen but will probably mop up some of the left overs if there're any left.

actually i second that... by the time we finished getting the MO to CP and the shipment actually arrives, most of us would have finished our rolls anyway...
