Problems in viewing CS Photo Gallery

Hi All,

Er,does anyone has any idea why I can't view the pics in the new clubsnap gallery? Do i have to twitch my browser settings or somethin?

Just uploaded some newbie attempts I did but can't see anything except a white box with the logo in...Hope the photos turn out alrite....

Are you still having problems? Noticed that you have posted some images in the Gallery.

Please note that you will need to enable "referrer logging" in your browser in order to be able to view the images properly (I could be wrong but IE users should not have this issue).

This essentially allows us to prevent leeching of bandwidth by hotlinking from a location outside of ClubSNAP's domains.

Just wanna say I stumbled on this website over a week ago and its been a great experience thus far. Great people, tips,etc so is the advice I got.

Glad the photos are viewable in the gallery, I was afraid res would b bad cos I reduced the size quite a bit....I could view the gallery pics when I last viewed it from my friend's comp a few days ago, but not on my own...weird :think:

But please feel free to comment / critique....no particular theme to the photos, just trying to capture the city on a weekday night...dat's Y the human elements are lacking.....I started taking photography more seriously only a month ago, still lotsa learn... Thanks ya'all.

I can't view when surfing at home via cable modem using IE or Mozilla but has no problem viewing at the office. I think the Gallery just does not work with MaxOnline.

Erm not true leh ... I'm a Maxonline user and there's no problem on my side ...

The thing that most likely happening to some people is that they are not providing their Browser user-agent string to Clubsnap server to verify where they come from or what browser they use. Without this string, Clubsnap server cannot verify whether you came from its own forum or outside.

This can happen if you have Norton Internet Security installed and you put set Privacy Control to Medium for example. I'm sure some other software firewall from McAfee etc can do this too. So please check this setting. Privacy is a good thing, but overdoing it can have deleterious effect too.

Sorry, wrong terminology. It's the browser Referer string that is the problem now, not the User-Agent string. But the root cause is still the same, privacy control software like Norton and McAfee.

Me too, cannot see pics on gallery. using maxonline on laptop.

I think nothing wrong with what ISP u are using.
Likely cause is the Firewall in ur system. I'm using ZoneAlarm.
Couldn't view at 1st, no problem viewing after I disabled the 'Ad Blocking'.

I had this very problem this morning. It was caused by my firewall, ZoneAlarm.
To fix it, I went to Privacy settings, found the entry for gallery.clubsnap.com, right click and choose options, uncheck remove private header. That solved it.

Hope this info is of some benefit to someone.

Thanks for sharing the info on the personal firewalls blocking content from the Galleries. Hopefully other members will be able to see these posts and fix their settings accordingly.

Running Win XP. Using zone alarm

problems solved after shutting down zone alarm. but funny is that how come it manages to load 1 or 2 pics just now with zone alarm on?

Did you try my solution (for ZoneAlarm) above? Don't need to shut it down to view gallery pics.
