So many people say to be careful at Lucky Plaza/ Sim Lin. What to be careful of ?
1) They tell inflated price ?
2) Sell pirated Camrea
3) Sell damaged/second hand by claiming them to be new
What exactly can be the issue there ?

I was asking nicely you know my nationality ;-) then I ask "uncle got discount or what's the best price? with a smile" even hi co-shop worker was smiling at me . the uncle wip out his trusty calculater as if he will calculate for me and show me the Sony RP lolz anyways that's the last I will buy from that shop lolz. This is my 2nd cam from MS Color I've always gotten a friendly welcome there and they dont push you away they'll chat with you joke with you...anyways enuf whinning from me I am enjoying my A77 lolz to me this is a keeper

lolz I once become a victim but not LP it's People Park the olden days lolz they lure me with so cheap videocam then slowly bring other cam slightly better and slightly expenssive once you bought they'll sell you accessories etc etc until your bill double the initial amount you're suppose to buy lolz I've learn the hard way after that I learn how to stay away from these sharks

I've encountered 2 kinds of saleman in HN, the usually younger and more well informed sales person are more willing to give reasonable discounts/deals, the older guys usually employ the Sim Lim Square/ Lucky Plaza gangster tactics.
But theres no garrantee, when I brought a buddy down to HN, Serangoon to pick up his 5N, the sales guy there tried to psycho him over to the M4/3 system saying it's got higher IQ, what a loser ! ...we walked over to another sale person, a lady who turned out to be the boss's wife and purchased the 5N from her.
How about buy from Sony Style Changi Airport T3. there's an Sony Style shop there. as all the shop inside don't kena GST, so the price is automatically 7% off?

Unless you happen to be flying out of the country from T3, you would have to factor in the air fare just to get 7% discount from RRP if die-die must give business to Sony Style. Might as well just buy from the local dealers who would give you much more discount than that in the first place. :what:

Changi airport prices are all retial prices just less the GST =) but I think you know can only buy with less GST if you're leaving SG not returning.
Only if you're not returning to SG. Also, 7% off RRP is a lot less of a discount than what you get from the recommended shops, and you cannot be sure the outlet there will have stock.
i also got scam at people park before !!! They sold me a lens at $390 but outside only sell 225 and worst of the worst the sell a polarizing filter at 60++ (Cheapo brand some more) !!!!
