But saw from price list that DA 55-300mm is listed as $499, so kx 18-55mm is 782 + 499 = 1281, see SLR revo can give a bit of discount or not lor.

Hi all, I just went down to SLR Revolution this afternoon.
Was quoted 899 (cash) without freebies for dual lens kit 18-55mm + 50-200mm (inclusive of gst).
Cosmetically, the DAL lenses that came with the package doesn't look as nice as my original kit lens on my K10D. The DAL lenses seem abit too plasticky to me. =(
Other than that, I have no complains. Both lenses gave me great pictures.

Yes, I'd definitely recommend going for the dual lens kit unless you want a red/white/blue body.
You WILL find a use for the 50-200mm, and this is a great deal. Considering if you buy a Canon or Nikon system you have to top up like $300 to get their 55-200mm.

Yah, $100+ for the lens is really a bargain. In my view, the only reason not to get it is this -- if you are very sure that you won't need that range now, and in future if you do need that range you are very sure that you will buy either a better zoom or are going prime.
FWIW, there are people buying black single kits, but not many I suppose.

Yep, and be thankful for that. Non-JP market was supposed to only receive black and white versions. Thanks to Emjay, we have more choices.
