Price drop for Kx Body/Kit/200mm/300mm lens kit :)

Maybe you can try to find someone who is planning to buy a black single lens kit and work something out...

Or better yet, just get the one lens kit plus a DAL 55-300 from them ;)

can i buy just the DAL 55-300 from them ah?

and how does it fare against the DA?

U mean they can't sell Red single kit lens set + 1 black 50-200mm lens for $899?

Just called SLR Revo regarding Pentax kx body only. They mentioned that the stock will arrive within a few days after the order is confirm, but limited sets only.
At last don't have to worry about how to sell off the 18-55mm lens..
But the body only comes in black. Sigh...

Get the kit lens lah, it doesn't cost much, and it'd be a lot easier when you sell your Kx w/ a matching kit lens later on (to upgrade or change system).

I believe for the dual lens kit, both lenses are already pre-packaged into the same box as the camera.

Sian 1/2 ..... Wonder any guy interested to get black single kit lens set or not . Like that i can top up to get the 2nd lens

For beginner who likes to get a dual lens kit, is it advisable to get 50-200 or 55-300 lens?

Just got K-X white kits from SLR Rev. have to get with kit lens.
Feel very light and nice to hold, maybe I get used to the old bulky heavy K10D.
Test few shots, Hi ISO performance was very impressive, and WB much better than K10D.

But this KX wasn't for me, helping someone buy this, will be in his hand next week.

I'll still stick with my Humble K10D for now.:D

Your will is strong...

...but not strong enough... you shall buy a K-x for yourself.... soon..... you cannot resist...

Sometime I notice about the KX, It doesn't come any port with shutter cable :(
I can't find any holes to connect the cable.
This mean only KX can use Remote , but Is there any remote that support holding the shutter button for bulb mode for super long exposure(not keep pressing with your finger)?

because I already falling to another greater evil force - K7 :bsmilie:

DAL 50-200: and DAL 55-300 -->What is the different? Why is everyone eyeing on 55-300? Other than the price and the zoom range? Weight also different ar? the 55-300 is more heavy? Thinking of getting only the Kx body and match it with a Tamron 17-55 f /2.8 and match it either with a 55-300 or the 50-200 depend on the price and weight.

I don't have the definitive answer but I'm sure someone who has the camera will chime in real soon. On the K7, the camera can be set for the remote to open and close shutter on button press in bulb mode. It should be the same with the Kx, but as I've said. Let someone with the camera confirm.

I think it's because of the 200-300mm range making it more flexible.
Also helps when there's a nice appreciation threads here: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=507108 http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=604115
Of course the 50-200mm also has an appreciation thread: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=625373
Recent thread discussing the difference: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=600182

And of course, if you intend to get body only, you also have the options of low end 3rd party telephoto zoom http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=617873

If you want to be REALLY cheapo, you can get a FAJ 75-300mm for really cheap... lol

Btw the Tamron f/2.8 is 17-50mm not 17-55mm
