Price drop for Kx Body/Kit/200mm/300mm lens kit :)

is it critical for dsrl standards?

forgive me, i am first in these stuff, do appreciate kind advice and opinion, thanks

there is no DSLR standards but customer choices
for example, i have thought top secondary LCD to be the normal, but as you can see there is plenty of DSLRs from canikon (even most of the DSLRs from Sony) don't have it.

so take it easy, just go to the shop and try one, any one. and happy shooting. :bsmilie:

Just back from SLR Revolution. They said no more K-x Body only.....
Anyone know where else can get K-x Body only? OR WR

Hi all , me very new to DSLR (infact I have never use 1 b4) been reading club snap for the pass few weeks , had more or less deciding to buy the Pentax Kx (the push factor is even more after the price drop).

A lot of my friend ask me to go for canoe or Nikon , but after reading all the good review, I feel that I shouldn't jus go for the brand ...

Just to check , does this offer vaild for White Kx ? and SLR revolution still got stock for white ?

And also I see that a lot pp is buying body only . Is it becos the kit lens DAL-18-55mm not very good ?

I intend to get the dual lens kit , 18-55 and 50-200mm

Any advice for me ?

not fair to say that kit lens is no good, but there are many out there that are much better when u decide to upgrade, n of course more expensive

I tell my wife I going for Pentax . but she keep insist that Canoe and Nikon is more popular ... I told her no point paying extra more to for the brand. Beside I tell her even If I dun go for pentax , I will also for for sony . lol ha.

My colleague recently jus bought Nikon 5000D . When I told them about Pentax, they also open eye big big and question me Y ... ha ... Guess they jus din do their homework well .

Now just hope that they got stock . So temp to buy . But me really a newbie ... Still got a lot of thing to learn from the expert here

SLR revolution sill have stock for KX red, blue and white.
Many people buying body only because they already own a Pentax and have tons of good lens that can use on KX too.


Pentax Kit len consider very good len compare to other brand's kits. it pretty ergonomic to use , small and light. filter mount is also small, so you can use cheaper, smaller filters too :thumbsup:.

just my 1 cent, if you go for the white k-x, better get the kit lens. because it is white as well!

sadly, no. I just bought my K-x with both kit lenses (18-55mm and 55-200mm) from SLR Revolution! Although I may have foregone the option of borrowing lenses from my Nikon-using friends, I'm glad I mustered the confidence to try something else. Anyway, the non-black K-x packages only come with the 18-55mm lens.

Yup, just called SLR Rev up.

Quoted $782 (Single kit lense) + 4.1% for CC installment (UOB, DBS, Citibank for 12mths max)

$899 for dual kit lenses. But too bad Red color doesn't come with dual kit lenses, sigh..

Maybe you can try to find someone who is planning to buy a black single lens kit and work something out...
