seems like there's a yellow cast after the pp by vbs1979, dun mind :)

i tried doing a little pp with the above suggestion... what do u guys think, c&c welcome!

the one which u have PS looks better. When i see from my laptop at home, the yellow tinted is not so obvious, but from my office monitor, it is quite obvious. My intention was to bring out the yellow to contrast with the green background. In this case, a viewer will immediately catch the subject (flower) at first glance. This will add more punch to the overall picture.

if possible, u use the lassio function to cut out the flower and de-select.

apply gaussian blur to the background. this will give u a nice blur of the background.

i find the few leaves a bit distracting as they are quite obvious.

first i adjust the level to "brighten" the picture.

then i adjust the hue and saturation.

last i apply sharpening.

yr pic looks a bit underexposed to me. maybe u can use a higher iso.

imo, the composition is a bit off.
Lotus leaf, lotus flower and dragonfly?
By putting the 3 together, it is a bit messy.
I think it will be better if u choose one of the above as your subject.

the colour from fuji super ccd produces veri rich colours. try to play around with your cam on various settings. u may also want to seek the advice from other 9500 users like michhy and zaknafein.

keep shooting :)

pomela???

the pic is underexposed.

i believe if you view from yr EVF or DC's LCD, the pic looks properly exposed, rite?

Thanks!

yo bro, be careful of the van!

nice composition. excellent color!!!

show more of your pics leh... this thread needs more support. :)

i have this idea of organising maybe an outdoor model shoot or a nature shoot for fuji prosumer cam owners.

i need some feedbacks from the ground to see if this idea is feasible.

i have nv done a outdoor model shoot b4...so scare to spoilt the shoot when things dun turn out like wat i expected. anyway its a gd idea and can let all the fuji prosumer user to gather too. :)

dun mind if i give some frank comments... i think that as what vbs1979 has said, there's too many subjects in the picture. not only that, the background of the picture is rather distracting... maybe u can try another composition next time. exposure wise, i do think that its nicely exposed. good try! :)

i think its a interesting picture taken! nice composition and a well thought title. however, i feel that the picture does not really have that "past" feel as the old shop-houses are all renovated. looks too new...

i was thinking that, maybe if u can compose the picture such that the high-rise building are slightly bigger, the effect might be better...

otherwise, i think its very nicely taken!
just my 2 cents :)

hmm, i have never done a model shoot before and i dun know what to expect. plus i dun really know how to shoot models... lol

i feel more comfortable with nature shooting, but i wouldn't mind giving model shooting a try. but how would u get the model? lol

okay, heres another try at it... what do u guys think?
