the evening skyline of the CBD is captured nicely. much better than the day one.

for the day pic, too much of the water is captured in the pic. try to apply the one-third rule.
eg: 1/3 water, 1/3 buildings, 1/3 sky.
 

thanks for the compliments and advice... i did try other compositions during the day but it didnt turn out too nicely.... here's 1 of them

due to the angle, the horizon seems a little bent. does anyone have any solutions?
furthermore in the 1st day picture, i was trying to capture a full water reflection of the CBD.

Maybe you can try a telephoto shot?
 

i like the last pic. if u can adjust the level and increase the saturatoin to bring out the yellow will be even better. :)

Try the distortion correction tool in photoshop.

would like to do that, but my photoshop skills is, ermm... extremly limited :p
and neither am i good at selecting specific object, so i usually do fine tuning of saturation, color balance or whatever on the whole picture...

maybe someone can teach me how to do what u suggested? :angel:

seems like there's a yellow cast after the pp by vbs1979, dun mind :)

i tried doing a little pp with the above suggestion... what do u guys think, c&c welcome!
